- Zombie
Zombie Dreaming about the living dead may carry a powerful message. If you are "walking around like a zombie," it usually means that you are emotionally disconnected from things going on around you. You may be experiencing unhealthy detachment and are unable to appropriately feel positive or negative emotions. Currently, you may be out of touch and outside of the main flow of life. This dream could positively sever you and help you to become aware of emotional issues and circumstances in daily life that are difficult to face.

 | | | Zombie: Encyclopedia II - Zombie - Zombies in voodooAccording to the tenets of voodoo, a dead person can be revived by a houngan or mambo. After resurrection, it has no will of its own, but remains under the control of the person who performed the ritual. Such resurrected dead are called "zombies".
Zombi is also the name of the voodoo snake god of Niger-Congo origin; it is akin to the Kongo word nzambi, which means "god."
In 1937, while researching folklore in Haiti, Zora Neale Hurston encountered the case of Felicia Felix-Mentor, who had died and been buried in 19 ...

New Age
Spirituality Dictionary on Zombie
Zombie In Haitian and West African folk belief, a soulless corpse reanimated by a Voodoo preist, known as a bocor. A zombie moves listlessly in a trancelike state and does the bidding of the bocor. The term is apparently derived from Nzambi, a West African deity. Most cultural anthropologists working in Haiti discount stories about zombies. Some researchers, however, claim that the stories are true and that a bocor's victims are administered a powder containing a powerful neurotoxin derived from the puffer fish. The powder is alleged to paralyze the victim into a deathlike state. The bocor later revives the victim. Pharmacologists who have tested samples of the alleged powder found little or no poison in them. Zombie was originally a python god of certain West African tribes, and its worship was carried to the West Indies with the slave trade, and still somewhat survives in Voodoo ceremonies in Haiti and some of the southern states of the USA.

 | | | Zombie: Encyclopedia II - Rob Zombie - Movie directorAs a successful video director with a strong interest in movies, the shift to cinema seemed inevitable. However, it was not to be painless. In the mid-90s, Zombie was approached to direct the third in the successful comic-inspired The Crow franchise, but his script was rejected. | | | Zombie: Encyclopedia II - Rob Zombie - Solo artistIn 1998, Rob Zombie pushed beyond the confines of the band environment. First, he founded his own label, Zombie-A-Go-Go, signing surf and horror acts like The Bomboras and The Ghastly Ones, as well as compiling the mix album Halloween Hootenany. He was managing the new band of his brother Michael, now known as Spider, the punk-tinged Powerman 5000, but also looked to his own career.
For his first solo project, Zombie entered into a close working relationship with producer Scott Humphrey, co-writing the music with him. John Temp ...

 | | | Zombie: Encyclopedia II - Rob Zombie - Comic writerIncreasingly, Rob has placed his musical career on hiatus and concentrated not simply on movies, but extending the HOTC franchise. His first big project was to launch a spin-off comic through Crossgen Comics, entitled Spookshow International. A horror anthology set in the HOTC continuity and written solely by Zombie, the stories initially concentrated on the further adventures of the Firefly family. As the title has progressed, Zombie has moved away from this core conceit. By issue 7, the main storyline centred around masked Me ...

 | | | Zombie: Dream Interpretation Dictionary
- Death
Death Dreaming about death is very common and it can be interpreted in many different ways. Death is usually a symbol of some type of closure or end. It implies an end to one thing and a beginning of another. Death dreams usually have positive symbolism. If you are the dead person in your dream, it could imply that you would like to leave all of your worries and struggles behind and begin anew. Dreaming about someone that you care about may express your fear about losing them. Dreaming that one of your parents died may express fear of loss, but it also may be an unconscious valve through which you release anger and other negative feelings. In some cultures dreaming about death and dying is a very good omen that represents longevity and prosperity. See also: Meaning of Dreams about Coffin, Zombie, Smothering

Theosophy Dictionary on Absolute
Absolute (from Latin ab away + solvere to loosen, dissolve) Freed, released, absolved; parallel to the Sanskrit moksha, mukti (set free, released), also to the Buddhist nirvana (blown out), all three terms signifying one who has obtained freedom from the cycle of material existence. Absolute, in European philosophy, is used somewhat loosely for the unconditional or boundless infinitude. On the other hand, Sir W. Hamilton (Disc 13n) considers the Absolute as "diametrically opposed to, . . . contradictory of, the Infinite," which is correct from the standpoint of both etymology and abstract philosophy. Blavatsky uses the term both ways: sometimes equating it with infinity, at other times with the first cause or one divine substance-principle. Strictly speaking, absolute is a relative term. It is the philosophic One or cosmic originant, but not the mystic zero or infinitude. An absolute or a cosmic freed one is not That (infinity), for infinity has no attributes: it is neither absolute nor nonabsolute, conscious nor unconscious, because all attributes and qualities belong to manifested and therefore noninfinite beings and things (cf FSO 89-90). The boundless or infinite, in which exist innumerable absolutes, includes the cognizer, the cognized, and the cognition, and is both matter and spirit, subject and object; all egos and non-egos are included within it. From the zero emanate an infinite number of cosmic Ones or monads. Every absolute is not only the hierarch of its own hierarchy, the One from which all subsequent differentiations emanate, but is also a cosmic jivanmukta, a released monad freed from the pull of the lower planes. Every monad at the threshold of paranirvana reassumes its primeval essence and becomes at one with the absolute of its own hierarchy once more. The absolute is thus the goal of evolution as well as the source, the highest divinity or Silent Watcher of the hierarchy of compassion, which forms the light side of a universe or cosmic hierarchy.

 | | | Zombie: Encyclopedia II - Rob Zombie - Major label yearsWhite Zombie only released two major studio albums, but their impact was enormous and their fan base loyal. In 1992 La Sexorcisto: Devil Music, Vol. 1 became an underground smash, shifting more than 1 million units in America alone. Released through Geffen, its combination of low-slung bass, metal guitars, industrial production and Zombie’s half-growled, half-barked lyrics about monsters, liquor and souped-up street racers caught the public imagination. Along with Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM and My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, White Z ...

 | | | Zombie: Indigo Passages and Purposes
The Indigo life is no bed of roses. If you have read some of the particular traits of Indigo people, you have learned that we have quite a bit stacked against us in our early lives. In fact, we are classic late bloomers, and because of this, Indigo youth have a very high amount of difficulty assimilating into the mainstream. This is mostly because the mainstream caters to the average mind and intellect, and most Indigos are far from average. This can result in the flaring of depression, and also the abuse of alcohol and drugs. Sometimes it leads to suicide. Misdiagnosis of ADD and other 'new age' illnesses add to the confusion, and the youngster is often drugged into submission at a point of life where they need to develop their minds the most.

Brain - The brain in animals.
Three groups of animals, with some exceptions, have notably complex brains: the arthropods (insects and crustaceans), the cephalopods (octopuses, squid, and similar mollusks), and the craniates (vertebrates and their cousins) [1]. The brain of arthropods and cephalopods arises from twin parallel nerve cords that extend through the body of the animal. In arthropods, the brain consists of a central ...
