There are windows of opportunity in life. There are doors that open from time to time that enable us to make great strides in life as well as seasons when it seems that every door is closed. Worst of all, for most, are those hallways in between places, a transition called liminal space. But what's this gateway to a higher consciousness?
Is 2012 really going to be a unique year in the life of this planet, or another Y2k?
Of course I am on record with this web site of believing that a combination of planetary needs (can you say crisis?) coupled with a few external catastrophies will FORCE mankind into doing for himself and the world what he wouldn't do without such initiative- rise above his trivial lifestyles.
Mayan and Toltec civilizations, to name just a few, placedd great significance on the date of December 21, 2012. Most recent interpretations are that such a date was the end of the world; however, my study has brought me to the conclusion that it was just a time of transition. A transition to WHAT is the big question.
Daniel Pinchbeck wrote, "According to precise Mayan calculations, the earth is approaching a cosmic conjunction that represents the conclusion of a vast evolutionary cycle, and the potential gateway to a higher level of potential manifestation." One could write off Daniel as one who inhaled too many exotic weeds (and he has), were it not also for what that date also means to the scientific community.
It's also the alignment of the earth and the sun with the "dark rift" at the center of the Milky Way- otherwise known as the galactic alignment.
Major Jenkins, another Mayan student suggests that the Mayans understood that there was a new life that would follow after the death. Ah so! But the death of who, what, and how? Maybe a death to our eons of stupidity where we no longer do things to our detriment, but begin to live like the manifested sons adn daughters of God that we are.
Works for me!
As a spiritual-futurist, I interpret current events in light of possible macro-universal forces at play leading up to 2012, but not limited to it.
