Muspell, Muspellsheim, Muspellsheimr
Muspell, Muspellsheim, Muspellsheimr (Icelandic) Muspell, the Norse god of fire, equivalent to the Hindu Agni. From Muspellsheim (home of fire) sparks fell into Ginnungagap (the yawning void) and Niflheim (home of nebulae), creating vapor which became Ymir, the giant from whom the worlds were fashioned by the creative beneficent powers. From Muspellsheim will also come the destructive forces which will bring the end of life to our world at the final great battle called Ragnarok.

- Chakras: The
Void
Surrounding the second and the third chakra is the Void which
stands for the principle of mastery (guru principle) within us. In many
spiritual traditions, this area is the "ocean of illusions" that
needs to be crossed with the help of a spiritual guide. When the Kundalini is
awakened and passes through the Void, this principle of mastery is established
within us.

| | | | Void Dictionary: Infinite Power of The SubconsciousOur bodies create the illusion that we are separate.
This illusion is further reinforced by modern science and technology, which is
based on the Cartesian-Newton paradigm, which posited a division between mind
and matter and led to a view of the universe as a mechanical system consisting
of separate objects.
This view fostered life in society as a competitive
struggle for existence and the belief in unlimited material progress to be
achieved through economic and technological growth. Modern physics and quantum
mechanics are now discovering what the mystics of the East have long known Ñ
the basic oneness of the universe.

chakras and channels of energyChakra
- Chakras: The
chakras and channels of energy
Inside every human being there is a network of nerves and sensory
organs that interprets the outside physical world. At the same time, within us
resides a subtle system of channels (nadis) and centers of energy
(chakras) which look after our physical, intellectual, emotional and
spiritual being.
Each of the seven chakras has several spiritual qualities. These
qualities are intact within us, and even though they might not always be
manifest, they can never be destroyed. When the Kundalini is awakened, these
qualities start manifesting spontaneously and express themselves in our life.

| | | | | | Void Dictionary: The History Application of TaiTai Chi Chuan was
derived from Taoism. The most important practice of Taoism was concerned with
tranquility of mind and improvement of temperament. At the end of the Sung
Dynasty a Taoist by the name of Cheung San Fung, in order to find one suitable
martial art for the Taoist, often observed the habits of long- lived animals
such as turtles and cranes. After many years of study, he, at last, created Tai
Chi Chuan.

Yoga An Enlightening ExperienceKriya Yoga An Enlightening Experience
It all began when a
friend of mine gave me a copy of Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa
Yogananda. I read the entire book from cover to cover the first night. I was so
fascinated by Yogananda's description of Miracles and higher states of
consciousness he experienced in India and in the United States after he
traveled over here that I couldn't put the book down. The next week I left for
California with my last paycheck in my pocket. I drove all the way to
Yogananda's Hermitage/Retreat in Encinitas, California. I was a printing press
operator at the time and it just so happened they needed a printer at SRF. What
luck! It all seemed predestined.

Mental BarriersBreak Your Mental Barriers
Most of us find ourselves trapped in our mortal ken
because of our ingrained habit of linear and sequential thinking. We find it
difficult to break this habit. The habit arises from our innate striving to
discern patterns in our sensory perception of reality. Our mind interprets
these perceptions by piecing together their constituent elements with other
entities in our mental database of past experience. By systematically stringing
these patterns together we have created the corpus of human knowledge.

Destiny
All the
defects, blasphemy and curses by sages on the house site should be expiated by
performing suitable purification ceremonies and worships before one attempts to
start the construction work of a house on such a site. Maya, the celestial
architect, had explained the easy ways and means of identifying the nature of
the soil. According to Maya, the master of the house who is going to construct
the house should with his own hands dig out a square pit one cubit side and one
cubit depth at the eastern direction or at the middle of the site
(Brahmasthala).

| | | | Void Dictionary: The Advaita Philosophy Of Sri SankaraThe teachings of
Sankara can be summed up in half a verse: Brahman
(the Absolute) is alone real; this world is unreal; and the Jiva or the individual
soul is non-different from Brahman.
The Advaita
taught by Sri Sankara is a rigorous, absolute one. According to Sri Sankara,
whatever is, is Brahman. Brahman Itself is absolutely homogeneous. All
difference and plurality are illusory.

About Hinduism by Sri Swami Sivananda

| | | | Void Dictionary: Are There Cosmic Causes and Cures for All Evils? How did evilness enter the world? According to the author SC Varma, at the start or genesis of universe, there was only one almighty God, the brahman , the cosmic soul (parmatma). After many yugs (eras) of being alone and blissful, he thought of becoming many from one and said: eko hum, bahu syami (in sanskrit it means, I am one, let me be many). And with this concept (sankalp) alone, the ball of duality and multiplicity of creation started rolling, and still is rolling on. This article gives an exciting background from the vedic viewpoint on how pain, misery, conflicts and problems originated.
