Düsum Khyenpa (Wylie transliteration: Dus gsum Mkhyen pa) (1110 - 1193) was the 1st Gyalwa Karmapa, head of the Kagyu (bka' rgyud) school of Tibetan Buddhism. He was a gifted child who studied and practiced Dharma intently from an early age. Already quite learned by the age of twenty, he became a monk and studied the sutras and tantra intensively for a further ten years

This excellent book entitled, "Living Buddha, Living Christ" by Thich Nhat Hanh, is packed with great words of inspiration for the mind, body and soul. It covers the essence of Buddhism and Christianity is an integrated manner and leaves one with a sense of religious unity and tolerance. Hahn is a Zen master, author and poet of twenty-five books and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
