Linga Sarira is of 17 Tattvas, viz., 5 Jnanendriyas (ears, skin, eyes, tongue and nose); 5 Karmendriyas (speech, hands, legs, genitals, anus); 5 Pranas (Prana, Apana, Vyana, Udana, Samana); Manas (mind); and Buddhi (intellect). These have corresponding centres in the spinal cord and the nerve-plexuses in the gross body. Each Chakra has control and function over a particular centre in gross body.

The origin of Ayurveda and Yoga are common to play a highly complimentary role in spiritual evolution and the maintenance of physical well-being and vitality. Ayurveda is, perhaps, the oldest science of life, a system of diet, healing and health maintenance that is deeply spiritual in origin.

Vaidya: Secrets of the Five Pranas

Prana - Secrets of the Five Pranas

To change something we must alter the energy which creates it. This fact is true in the practice of Yoga. To bring about positive changes in body and mind we must understand the energy through which they work. This is called Prana in Sanskrit, meaning primary energy. It is sometimes translated as breath or vital force, though it is more than these.

Vaidya: Encyclopedia II - Null dust solution - Examples

Null dust solutions include two large and important families of exact solutions: pp-wave spacetimes (which model generalizations of the plane waves familiar from electromagnetism), Robinson-Trautman null dusts (which model radiation expanding from a radiating object). The pp-waves include the gravitational plane waves and the monochromatic electromagnetic plane wave. A specific example of considerable interest is the Bonnor beam, an exact solution modeling an infinitely long beam ...

Vaidya: Encyclopedia II - Kerr metric - Relation to Other Exact Solutions

The Kerr vacuum is a particular example of a stationary axially symmetric vacuum solution to the Einstein field equation. The family of all stationary axially symmetric vacuum solutions to the Einstein field equation are the Ernst vacuums. The asympotically flat Ernst vacuums can be characterized by an infinite sequence of Geroch multipole moments, the first two of which can be interpreted as the mass and angular momentum of the source of the field. Then the Kerr vacuum is characterized by saying that all the higher moments vanish. In ...

Vaidya: Encyclopedia II - History of Rajputs - Rajput Origins

Rajput is a kshatriya caste in India. The Rajputs are comprised of many different clans. They were known for their valor and chivalry in battle. For centuries, they were India's line of defense against invaders. They proved their chivalry by fighting with honor and the mercy that they showed to the vanquished. When fighting against the hordes of Arabs, Moghuls, Afghans, and Turks, many preferred to die rather than to forsake their ancestors' faith (Hindu dharma) for Islam. While the nations of the Middle East fell in a matter of a few years t ...

Vaidya: Encyclopedia II - Ayurveda - Today

Ayurvedic physicians were traditionally supported by their patients and the communities they worked in, with a minority gaining royal patronage. Under the centralised governments systems established by the Mughals and subsequent British rule in India, many Ayurvedic physicians were paid small stipends by the state. But when the British government in India began to establish hospitals and organised state-wide healthcare institutions, leading eventually to the Indian Medical Service, Ayurveda was not included. In the early 20th century, Ayurve ...
