Flight information
- Travel to Madras/Chennai on the south-East cost of India. This is the closest major airport.
- If you arrive to Delhi it is 30-36 hrs to Chennai by train, from Mumbay it is a 18-22 hrs ride by train to Madras/Chennai. (We recommend first class of you travel by train in India.) If you catch a connecting local flight in one of these cities, it will take approximately 2-3 hours to reach Madras/Chennai.
- You can order a taxi from your home country that will be waiting for you at the airport. Make sure they know your arrival time and flight number in case of delays. The number to a fully reliable company (Kalki Cab is associated with the local organizer) that will understand were to go is: +91 2431 5222 or +91 2431 5444 or +91 2431 5555.
You can also catch a taxi to the festival on arrival to the airport in Chennai/Madras. You go 90 km straight North from Madras/Chennai. It is a 3,5 hours drive.
- Address to the Venue. Be sure to give very, very clear instructions of where you want to go. Remember that the Oneness Festival is a new event. The average taxi-drivers will probably not have a clue of what it is! Therefore, you will give the address to the local organizer. They are wellkown.
The Address is:

Plan to spend some time doing this, especially in smaller cities. They will give you 100 rupee notes. It will be a huge stack. First, you have to get 500 rupee notes. Ask the person who changed your money. If that fails, ask other people in the bank. You need to get 1, 2, 5 and 10 rupee notes (1,2, and 5s also come in coins). You will need these for tips and buying things on the street. If you are changing money at AmEx office, they may only give you a limited number of 10 rupee notes.
