Alternative
Health Dictionary on Jin Shin Jyutsu
Jin Shin Jyutsu (jin shin jitsu): Subject of The Touch of Healing: Energizing Body, Mind, and Spirit with the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu (Bantam Books, 1997). Jin Shin Jyutsu is a non-massage form of shiatsu developed by Jiro Murai in Japan. It uses only 26 pressure points, termed energy locks. According to its theory, fatigue, tension, or illness can trap energy in these safety energy locks. The design of Jin Shin Jyutsu is to harmonize the flow of energy through the body. Jin Shin Jyutsu involves either: (a) prolonged, gentle, manual pressing of these points; or (b) movements of the practitioner's hands over such areas without contact. The practitioner's hands function like booster cables. Jin shin jyutsu literally means the creator's art through knowing and compassionate man.

 | | | Trap Dictionary: The Mind and
Control of ThoughtThe mind is like a wheel which revolves
endlessly with tremendous velocity. It generates new thoughts with every
revolution. This wheel is set in motion by the vibration of psychic Prana or
subtle Prana. The practice of Pranayama lessens the velocity of the mind and
slows down the wheel gradually. Perfect control of Prana will bring the wheel
to a standstill.
From "Easy Steps to
Yoga" by Sri Swami Sivananda.

 | | | Trap Dictionary: The End Of Marriage As We Know ItSomething
seems to be seriously wrong with marriage.
During
the past 50 years, the rate of divorce in the United States has exploded out of
control to its current level of about 50 percent, and it shows no signs of
letting up. That is a very sobering trend and statistic. I recently contributed
to that number, and it doesn't feel so good, especially when there are innocent
children involved. Some people have contributed more than once. Most of them
probably feel worse than I do, and wonder where it all went wrong.

 | | | Trap Dictionary: Forgiveness Helps Contain Anger
We always look for the healing touch after someone has hurt, humiliated or insulted us. Samuel Johnson in " The Rambler " writes that a wise man will make haste to forgive because he knows the true value of time, and will not suffer it to pass away in unnecessary pain. On the other hand, anger is a short-lived madness; when a man grows angry, his reason rides out. Fury and anger carry the mind away.

 | | | Trap Dictionary: Realizing the concept of death
Everyday, we hear of deaths. We hear of people contracting diseases and dying. We hear of earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, floods etc. in which people die. But do we ever think or realize that we might be the victims of death one day? Probably not. It comes as a great shock when you first realize that. People realize this when they become old and after they have wasted away their youth thinking that death is still far away from us. The point is to realize this as early as possible. A person, who has realized this, starts valuing time. He keeps himself involved in some work or the other and becomes a big success in life.

 | | | Trap Dictionary: Awakening the Crystal Children - Becoming Crystalline
Lee Carroll and Jan Tober are the authors of the Indigo Children books and are wonderful people and personal friends. Lee and I have discussed this point. He and Jan say that the Crystal Children are a sub-set of the Indigo children, whereas the Group says they are markedly different. The word Indigo comes from Nancy Tappe who sees energy fields in a very unusual way. They use this word to talk about all the new children entering the Earth including Star children, Psychic children and more.

 | | | Trap Dictionary: Transform Yourself With Mantra Yoga
Chanting mantras inspires the body to heal itself, the mind to become calm and the soul to grow strong. Chanting makes room for divine energies. Mantras are vibrations - they unlock hidden centres and help to dissolve the ego; they help us build invisible tools for shaping a better life. We start discovering resources within. A young farmer, simple and ego-less, was rearing goats. One day a realised soul in ordinary attire visited him. The poor farmer welcomed him with respect without knowing that he was a great guru. Affectionately, he offered goat milk to the visitor. The guru left after some time. His blessings created a great spiritual armour around the farmer, unbeknownst to him.

 | | | Trap Dictionary: Mapless Journeys Beyond the Self
When Boddhidharma, was presented to the emperor of China, the ruler of the Middle Kingdom recounted the many great works of charity he had performed for his people, of the places of worship he had built and the religious ceremonies he had conducted. “Tell me then”, he asked Boddhidharma, “having done all these good works, what is the merit I have earned for myself?” And the sage replied gruffly: “None whatsoever”. The Emperor was outraged. “Who is it who dares to speak to me in such an impudent manner?” he demanded. And Boddhidharma looked at the Emperor and said, “No one at all”. This story is central to the teachings of Zen Buddhism that Boddhidharma took with him from India to China.

 | | | Trap Dictionary: Lasting Happiness Through Bhakti Yoga
To attain jitendriyata is to achieve full control over
ones senses. This leads to what is called God-realisation. In this controlled
state all pain and suffering cease permanently.
There are different paths to achieve this height: Gyan yoga,
karma yoga, bhakti yoga, raja yoga, hatha yoga, swara yoga, nada yoga, astanga
yoga; all of these lead to the same goal of achieving communion with God. The
shortest and most suitable path ordained in this Kali Yuga is bhakti yoga. Read more here: » Bhakti Yoga: Lasting Happiness Through Bhakti Yoga |
