Towel-Headed Man - The Cursed Videotape.
The first appearance of the Towel-Headed Man is during the Cursed Videotape that is prominent throughout the film. His scene comes between the crawling people in pain, and the eye with the kanji for "Sada" in it. In this scene, he is pointing to something offscreen, and the background, most likely water, is moving in an odd pattern. His appearance is accompanied by an eerie metallic squeak, as well as a barely audible message, "Shoumon bakkari shiteru to, boukon ga ...

 | | | towel: Encyclopedia II - Towel-Headed Man - Towel-Headed Man's Origins: Who Is He or Who Are They?It is undoubtedly known that at the end of Ringu, Ryuuji Takayama is the man with the towel on his head. However, there is evidence that there is more than one man who would fill this position.
As he appears on the Cursed Videotape, the Towel-Headed Man is wearing a blue shirt and black pants - definitely not anything that Ryuuji has ever donned in the movie. These clothes, however, echo the wardrobe of Hiroshi Toyama, Sadako's love interest in Ringu 0. However, the Towel-Headed Man that appears to point out that Yoichi is watching th ...

Towel-Headed Man - Ringu Movie Tie-In.
In the Ringu movie tie-in manga (released in the U.S. as "the Ring" volume 1), the Towel-Headed Man appears again in the videotape, but does not repeat his famous "Shoumon bakkari shiteru to, boukon ga kuru zo" line; this phrase is given to Sadako's grandmother, the originator of the line, who appears immediately after the Towel-Headed Man. He again appears at the end of the story, as Ryuuji, to point out the Cursed Videotape to Reiko, as he did in the movie.

Many science fiction fans and radio listeners outside the United Kingdom were first exposed to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in one of two ways: shortwave radio broadcasts of the original radio series, or by Douglas Adams being "Guest of Honour" at the 1979 World Annual Science Fiction Convention, Seacon, held in Brighton, England, UK. It was there that the radio series was nominated for a Hugo Award (the first radio series to receive a ...

List of school pranks - Bagging.
When someone falls to the ground, usually in an embarrassing way, the victim is then pelted with school bags which are thrown at them to inflict physical and mental pain. This is also a common occurrence on birthdays when the victim is thrown to the ground and has bags thrown onto him. To maximise the damage heavier bags are often selected and are thrown from further distances and heights. A Scottish variant of this is 'dumps' where a child is thumped on the back by his classmates on his birthday a number of t ...

 | | | towel: Encyclopedia II - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Origin of The GuideThe first radio series comes from a proposal called 'The Ends of the Earth': six self-contained episodes, all ending with the Earth being destroyed in a different way. While writing the first episode, Adams realised that he needed someone on the planet who was an alien to provide some context, and that this alien needed a reason to be there. Adams finally settled on making the alien a roving researcher for a "wholly remarkable book" named The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. As the first radio episode's writing progressed, the Guide became the centre of his story, and he decided ...
