 | | | Tilt-A-Whirl: Encyclopedia II - Professional wrestling holds - Pinning combinationsThe purpose of a pinning maneuver is to hold the victim's shoulders against the mat for a count of three (See: pin fall). Sometimes, a wrestler may hook the opponents tights for extra leverage. Or, if a wrestler is close enough to the ring ropes, he may aid a pin by propping his legs up on the ropes to gain additional leverage and put more of his weight on the victim. This is illegal according to the rules of ...

Professional wrestling holds - Arm trap.
This is when a wrestler holds both the opponent's arms under his own, from here the opponent is left prone and unable to counter or move away from the attacker. Al Snow delivers a series of headbutts from this position, while other wrestlers use this to secure a suplex.

 | | | Tilt-A-Whirl: Encyclopedia II - Carnivàle - CancellationWhile ratings began agreeably, by the end of the first season they were down significantly. During the second season, the ratings slowly rose toward the end; however, the show became increasingly expensive to produce at the same time. Many fans suspected that, due to HBO's tradition of carrying shows through to an end, and Daniel Knauf's six-year-plan, the show would be renewed, but in May 2005, it was leaked that the series would not be returning for another season. HBO confirmed that t ...
