 | | | The Void: Encyclopedia II - Into the Void - The song"Into the Void" is a sister-track to "La Mer," also from The Fragile; both songs grew out of the same initial track and feature the same bass line and melody. "Into the Void" starts with a short gamelan-based intro. Lyrically, Trent basically laments over his failed attempts of self-preservation, as he is sucked into a void of depravity, illustrated by the chorus, "tried to save myself, but myself keeps slipping away."
A music video was made for this song. It was directed by Walter Stern and Jeff Richter and released on 14 January 2000.
"Into the Void" has been covered by Eric Gorfain ...

VoidChakra - Chakras: The Void Surrounding the second and the third chakra is the Void which stands for the principle of mastery (guru principle) within us. In many spiritual traditions, this area is the "ocean of illusions" that needs to be crossed with the help of a spiritual guide. When the Kundalini is awakened and passes through the Void, this principle of mastery is established within us. Read more here: » Chakra

 | | | The Void: Sound of the Inner Void Real strength is not what the physical eyes perceive. Real strength is the inner strength, the true self of the being. And the secret to this is the inner stability or sthirta. Strength is a very deep and subtle concept and is not just about physical appearance. It is that which is sthir, which is silent, is pure energy. Just by the strength of one's sthirta one develops the capacity to draw any kind of force inside. We now give you an intense and very effective technique for building the real strength which is all about maintaining inner silence, the technique of "Sound of the Inner Void." Although previously attempted, Yates and Simpson were the first people to ascend to the summit of Siula Grande via the almost vertical west face. Disaster struck, however, on the descent. Simpson slipped down an ice cliff and landed awkwardly, smashing his tibia into his knee joint and breaking it. The pair, whose trip had already taken longer than they in ...

 | | | The Void: Encyclopedia II - RBMK - Positive void coefficientOrdinary (light) water absorbs neutrons fairly readily, and so removing water from the core (such as happens when it boils and is replaced by steam) tends to increase the rate at which the nuclear reaction proceeds. In a water-moderated reactor, this effect is countered by the reduction in moderation, but in the RBMK the moderating effect of the water is small compared to that of the graphite, so the overall effect is positive. This is called a "positive void coefficient". The RBMK as designed also had a "positive power coefficient", meaning ...
