 | | | The Elements song - Lyrics: Encyclopedia II - Kool G Rap - Trademarks
Kool G Rap - Lyrical Dexterity.
Early in his career, Kool G. Rap's hallmark was his rapid-fire, multisyllabic delivery. He trademarked the ability to rhyme the same syllables in the same combinations, though with different words, for a whole verse (16 bars long). This style is mostly apparent on the 1990 album Wanted: Dead or Alive, on such songs as "Play It Again, Polo," "Jive Talk," and "Kool is Back." The style was later adopted by Rakim and Big Daddy Kane, to lesser extents, and Big Pun who cited G. Rap as one of his biggest influences. Today many rappers use it, though few can utilize the style ...

 | | | The Elements song - Lyrics: Encyclopedia II - Butterfly Mariah Carey song - Song informationThe single, released in 1997, was co-written and co-produced by Carey and Walter Afanasieff. The song, seen as one of Carey's most personal, has autobiographical elements, as it is supposedly based on her relationship with her ex-husband, Tommy Mottola.
The song was originally supposed to sound less personal. Carey had wanted it to be a house record with David Morales, and created "Fly Away (Butterfly Reprise)". However, she realized how personal the lyrics were, and how they applied to her album (later titled Butterfl ...

 | | | The Elements song - Lyrics: Encyclopedia II - Nickelback - StyleNickelback's style is best described as hard rock; no electronic sounds or DJs gueststar in their songs. The frontman Chad Kroeger is the dominant element; his vocals sustain the songs through verse and hook. The result is radio friendly hard rock with no frills; save some dubbing in a few of their songs for dramatic effect ("Figured You Out").
As many bands, Nickelback's lyrics deal mostly with either acquirring romance, the loss of romance, or the transition between love and hate in relationships. Earlier albums included songs discu ...

 | | | The Elements song - Lyrics: Encyclopedia II - Lichtgestalt - MusicRecorded in 2005, it consists of 9 tracks, including the two different versions of The Party Is Over. The album has strong elements of symphonic metal. The album continues in the musical vein of Lacrimosa's previous albums, in contrast to Tilo Wolff's other musical project, Snakeskin.
Lyrics cover Lacrimosa's by-now standard themes of love, estrangement and loneliness. A notable exception is the last individual track, Hohelied der Liebe, a song written entirely for orchestra and choir with no rock elements at all, and with lyrics taken from St Paul's First Epistle to the Corinthians. 'Hohelied' is the Lutheran name for ...

 | | | The Elements song - Lyrics: Encyclopedia II - World Party - HistoryWorld Party's music is hard to categorise, being a tuneful but sophisticated pop and rock combination, with elements of folk, funk, R n B and soul thrown in with a lot of sound samples to give a "recycled" feel in accordance with the band's "Green" image. Wallinger sings and plays most of the instruments himself, using multitracking to create a polished studio sound. Lyrically, many of the songs feature thoughtful ...

 | | | The Elements song - Lyrics: Encyclopedia II - Bubblegum pop - 1960s and 1970sThe first wave of "pure" bubblegum came with Jerry Kasenetz and Jeff Katz - music producers who formed Super K Productions and gave the world "A Little Bit of Soul" by The Music Explosion in 1966. However, the song was closer to R&B garage band music, and missing the element of nursery rhyme/nonsense lyrics that would be introduced by staff songwriters Joey Levine and Elliot Chiprut. About a year later, they released "Yummy Yummy Yummy" a #4 hit in June, 1968 for The Ohio Express. Although The Ohio Express was a real, touring garage band ...

 | | | The Elements song - Lyrics: Encyclopedia II - Goth - Religious ElementsReligious imagery has frequently played an important part in gothic fashion and also in song lyrics. However, many goths aspire to "free themselves from the limitations" of traditional belief systems, and express a belief in open-mindedness and diversity.
One widespread misconception is that the goth subculture as a whole is represents a unified cult-like religion, when in reality there is a wide diversity of religious beliefs throughout the subculture. A large number of goths adhere to atheism or agnosticism, not wanting to commit to ...

 | | | The Elements song - Lyrics: Encyclopedia II - Your Arsenal - About the albumCommencing with the blistering "You're Gonna Need Someone on Your Side", the album represents a clear change in direction for Morrissey from pop to modern rock. It also features some elements of rockabilly.
Some tracks from the album were lyrically controversial, although much of the controversy was stirred up by the New Musical Express, who had turned violently against Morrissey by this time. "Glamorous Glue", though a personally conflicted and ambivalent song, was accused of anti-Americanism, while the similarly ambiguous "We'll Let You Know" was accused of defending football hooliganism. For the controversy s ...

 | | | The Elements song - Lyrics: Encyclopedia II - Stuart Davis musician - Business and successWith the formation of Dharma Pop in 1998 (previously known as Post-Apocalyptic Records), Stuart created a new business model for artists. According to Davis' website, "Dharma Pop's purpose is to create music that amplifies awareness, and the formal elements of these songs (melodies, hooks, rhythms) are a Trojan Horse, sneaking mysticism into mainstream culture." Dharma Pop consists of volunteers, who manage Davis' products, websites and performances; "Punk Monks" who promote his shows; and investors. Thus Davis has succeeded in financing a profess ...
