The Aquabats: Encyclopedia II - The Aquabats - Band mythology

The Aquabats have an extensive backstory concerning their origin. According to the story, the band used to live in an idyllic country known as "Aquabania." Suddenly, Aquabania was attacked by Space Monster 'M', who is a powerful villain, forcing the group to flee their home and take to the ocean in a hollowed-out log. The Aquabats: Encyclopedia - Charge!!

Charge!! is the fifth album by The Aquabats. The album marks the band's debut on Nitro Records, and was followed by their first national tour in several years. The album is very similar in sound to the previous year's EP Yo, Check Out This Ride. Thematically, it continues the band's satire of the music "scene," from the beginning with the song "Fashion Zombies!", which lampoons the goth subculture. Another major theme explored on the album, as on many of their other albums, is the pressure and awkwardness of adolescence. "Nerd ...

Blink-182 - Flyswatter / Buddha / Cheshire Cat. Towards May, 1993 blink realised that a demo tape known as Flyswatter, recorded using a boom box in Raynor's bedroom, was quite shit, which explains the poor sound quality. The Aquabats: Encyclopedia II - Ska - The Waves

Ska - First Wave. After World War II, Jamaicans purchased radios in increasing numbers and were able to hear American R&B from southern cities like New Orleans, Louisiana, whose artists (such as Fats Domino) had the most influence on early ska. To meet the demand for such music, entrepreneurs like Prince Buster, Clement "Coxsone" Dodd, and Duke Reid formed sound systems, portable discotheques which appeared at dances and other gatherings. Sound system operators were able to obtain records from Miami and New O ...

The Aquabats: Encyclopedia II - Travis Barker - Life

Barker previously played drums for The Aquabats (as Baron Von Tito), blink-182, and a punk band called Snot (not to be confused with the alternative metal band). The Aquabats: Encyclopedia II - Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - Interpretations

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - White Horse. Opinions differ on whether the first horseman, riding the white horse, represents Christ, the Antichrist, or the False Prophet, but the general consensus of conservative biblical scholars is that he is the Antichrist. One argument against this horseman representing Christ is that each horseman is released due to the opening of a seal, and the seals represent God's curses upon the world, it is unlikely that the author would consider Christ's return as a curse. (Howeve ...

The Aquabats: Encyclopedia II - Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - Horses and their riders

In summary, the horses and their riders as described in the Bible are as follows: It should be noted that, while the rider of the white horse is often interpreted as Antichrist, he is not named as such in Revelation. The word used to describe the color of the 'pale' horse is the Greek word chloros or green. It is meant to convey the sickly green tinge of the deathly ill or recently dead. Since the literal translation 'green' does not carry these connot ...
