Static Shock is an animated series starring Virgil Hawkins as Static, a teenage African American superhero with electromagnetic powers. It is based on a comic book series by Milestone Comics (an independently-owned imprint published by DC Comics). It debuted in September 2000 on Kids WB, and ran for four seasons, a total of 52 half-hour episodes. It was later picked up for rebroadcast by Cartoon Network, and airs on the Miguzi block. Static Shock - Season 1. "Shock to the System" - Virgil Hawkins is harassed by school bully and gang leader Francis "F-Stop" Stone, but is "rescued" by Wade, the leader of another street gang. Wade tries to get Virgil to join his gang, and tells Virgil to join him at the docks late at night, where they will take care of Virgil's problem... permanently, in the middle of a "gang bang" involving F-Stop. The police show up and exchange gunfire with the gang members, and hazardous material canisters are ruptured ...
