Spirituality and Science | Wisdom Archive on Science and Spirituality | | Science and Spirituality Spirituality and Science is seen by many as two separate things.
What we normally call Science is that which we can measure, see and prove. From that perspective, Spirit is maybe the last thing to find in any microscope. The science of Spirituality is maybe not so easily measured from the parameters used in normal science.
The marriage of science and spirituality is very exiting and this topic will be presented at this page and at the Oneness Festival.
In many religious traditions God is seen as infinite, all powerful, perfect and beyond change and growth. In stark contrast the universe is evolving an ever expanding consciousness often through excruciatingly painful struggles. Our mathematical and scientific understanding suggests God is an unfolding creative process that may expand without limit. In that framework we are the eyes of God with the power to create the world. We are the evolution of consciousness becoming aware of itself and beginning to acquire the power to take conscious control of evolution.

| | | | Spirituality and Science: What is Gaia? Most of us sense that the Earth is more than a sphere of rock with a thin layer of air, ocean and life covering the surface. We feel that we belong here as if this planet were indeed our home. Long ago the Greeks, thinking this way, gave to the Earth the name Gaia or, for short, Ge. In those days, science and theology were one and science, although less precise, had soul. As time passed this warm relationship faded and was replaced by the frigidity of the schoolmen. The life sciences, no longer concerned with life, fell to classifying dead things and even to vivisection. Ge was stolen from theology to become no more the root from which the disciplines of geography and geology were named. Now at last there are signs of a change. Science becomes holistic again and rediscovers soul, and theology, moved by ecumenical forces, begins to realise that Gaia is not to be subdivided for academic convenience and that Ge is much more than just a prefix.

| | | | Spirituality and Science: Who Are The Indigo People? - Part Two
I always knew that I was different- not only in appearance from my peers, but also different inside, in my mind and my thoughts. I would tell my childhood peers things that made perfect sense to me (or to an adult), but would go completely over their heads. I was soon labeled a 'weirdo' and shunned. I didn't know it at the time, but most of the stuff that I 'just knew' had to do with the semi-conscious realization that I'd been here before. I say 'semi-conscious' because the veil this life puts over the connection to Higher Self is a heavy and distorting one, and takes many years and much effort to remove or penetrate.

| | | | | | | | | | Spirituality and Science: Indigo Children and Science
The Indigo Children are not to be considered "superior or elite" in comparison to other humans, but rather viewed as living demonstrations of the dormant abilities that are NOW beginning to rapidly unfold among ALL HUMAN POPULATIONS. Scientific communities in China, the US and other countries are now identifying small groups of infants and children that display rare abilities such as purging HIV, advanced genius and psychic/telekinetic abilities and other extra-ordinary attributes. These are the identified Indigo Children. Indigos can display some or all of these qualities and others not yet identified. In Indigo Children, fragments of DNA science identifies as 'junk DNA' and other portions of the DNA chain that science has yet to identify.

New Age
Spirituality Dictionary on Christian Science
Christian Science Officially called Church of Christ, Scientist, it was founded by Mary Baker Eddy in Boston, Mass. Her teachings are heavily indebted to Phineas P. Quimby, a mesmerist. Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures functions as a canon of Scripture. Matter is unreal; thus, so are sickness and death, which are overcome by believing that we are Mind. Christ is Òthe divine manifestation of GodÓ most fully seen in Jesus, who only seemed to die. The ÒHoly GhostÓ is Divine Science, that is, Christian Science. Many New Age ideas have historical roots in Christian Science and related New Thought groups.

| | | | Spirituality and Science: Physics Shows The Way To Consciousness - Meditation and Science
Can science and meditation, each dealing with different phenomena, have common ground? Physics deals with the external world of matter, space and time, from the giant galaxies in outer space down to the infinitesimally small particles which make up the atom. Meditation looks inward; its domain is that which is not physical. When we close our eyes in meditation, we are cutting off the senses which connect us with the physical world. What we perceive at this time cannot be seen, heard, tasted, touched or smelled. We are investigating the nature of the inner consciousness which makes us alive, alert and aware of the world around us.

| | | | Spirituality and Science: What
makes the Good Book so good? What makes the Good Book so good?
Article explores how the Bible has impacted the authorÕs life,
including how what it taught her about God's goodness helped her when she
faced financial struggles.
What makes the Good Book so good? Elements of adventure,
history, biography, and poetry fill its pages. But that's true of countless
books whose impact has faded over time. To me, the Bible isn't just a good book
- it's a book about goodness. A record and celebration of how God makes His good
nature known and felt in ordinary and extraordinary situations.

| | | | Spirituality and Science: Ultimate Answer to All Your Questions
Science attempts to define the nature of reality. Reality, however, presents itself in a variety of names and forms: Physical, mental and psychological realities; linguistic and mathematical realities, and with the advent of computers and Internet, digital reality. But science is yet to define physical reality conclusively... hence the quest continues.

Planetary GemologyThe Science of Planetary Gemology is one that
has been used in accordance with astrology for thousands of years. It is the
science of understanding how gemstones transmit and reflect planetary rays, and
how they will increase planetary influences in a personÕs life.
Different gemstones are said to receive their
potencies from the cosmic energies of various planets. Vedic astrology and the
Ayurvedic system of medicine tell us that certain planets can have effects on
bodily organs and parts of the body. The planets are also said to have effects
