 | | | Spirituality and Relationships: Beyond The 50/50 RelationshipBeyond The 50/50 Relationship Many people today believe in a myth that says intimate happiness is attained through a 50/50 ideal of equality based on a notion of "sameness" between men and women. Belief in this myth of the 50/50 Relationship is one of the major reasons that men and women have been unable to cultivate and deepen sexual, emotional, and spiritual union in intimacy. As many of us have discovered, when we focus on dividing the pie equally, our intimate embrace often becomes more like a business handshake than a delicious swoon that dissolves two lovers into a single heart of desire. | | | Spirituality and Relationships:
The Energy of Relationships When speaking of relationships, we mean any person with whom you have frequent or continuing interactions. Throughout your life, your energy is connected with others through shared interactions. Length or duration of a relationship does not determine the strength of the energy bond. The strength or 'intensity' of an energy bond is determined by the amounts and types of energy you put into that bond. Due to this, some relationships may have ended long ago, but have a 'stronger intensity' than current or ongoing relationships. Read more here: » Relationships:

 | | | Spirituality and Relationships: Addictive Love RelationshipsThere are two fascinating qualities that can enter into our lives or the lives of those we care for at any moment: love and addiction. At first these two may appear to be strange bedfellows: love evokes pleasurable images of couples passionately embracing or tenderly gazing into each others' eyes, while addiction brings up a darker, grim, even desperate image of people struggling against a part of themselves that is out of control. Yet at their core, both have in common a profound spiritual yearning, the desire to transcend the self, to experience powerful states of bliss and ecstasy and to merge with and feel a part of something greater than oneself. | | | Spirituality and Relationships: Are You Or Your Partner Addicted To Drama? We are all familiar with chemical addictions to intoxicating substances such as alcohol or cocaine. Sex, work and Internet use are also frequently mentioned as aspects of life that can be used addictively. The least recognized addiction in our society, however, may be the addiction to drama that manifests in so many relationships. While drama is a legitimate category of cinema and theater, as an addictive process in relationships it refers to an ongoing dysfunctional need to continually recreate unsafe and unhealthy emotional intensity in one's relationships. | | | Spirituality and Relationships: Living Life With No Past BaggageIn the simplest form, it is reasonable to look at life as a series of relationships Ñ some momentary, some perpetual. However, the way we deal with these relationships is dependent entirely on the thought process through which we approach them. Our response to relationships is seldom on the basis of an appreciation of events as they present themselves to us from moment to moment; how we react is predominantly guided by a large corpus of memory, impressions and preconceived notions that we have accumulated about the moment on hand. | | | Spirituality and Relationships: Reflections on
SpiritualityWhen I was growing up, I thought that "spirituality" was the same thing as "religion," which was something for which I had little respect. My early experiences with organized religion left me convinced that the church was a body of contradictions, from which you would never get a rational, straight answer. I was quite mystified that so many people would go to church every Sunday to engage in something that seemed so irrelevant. Read more here: » What is Spirituality: Reflections on

 | | | Spirituality and Relationships: Uses of Spirituality At the Workplace Does the recent interest exhibited in non-fiction titles such as The Soul of Business, A Spiritual Audit of Corporate America, The Stirring of Soul in the Workplace, The Three-Minute Meditation etc in the US point to the possible evolution of the "enlightened corporate sector"? Do Indian managers, born in a land that has offered "yoga and meditation" to the world corporate sector (to overcome stress), have the "first-mover advantage"? These are the questions that should interest "enlightened" managers in "progressive" Indian corporations. | | | Spirituality and Relationships: The Individual Path While the ultimate result of any truly spiritual path is the negation of the individual ego-self, one cannot begin on one's own personal path of spiritual realization unless one establishes his/her individuality. That means freeing oneself from the demands of organized religions, creeds, socially accepted beliefs, the dictates of any prophet. All of these characteristics of religious participation establish only the group-identity, the body of like-minded believers. People can spend an entire lifetime following the teachings and beliefs of others, without ever finding the path that is right for them personally. | | | Spirituality and Relationships: 2005 - The Year Of Spiritual Awakening The year 2005 comes under the banner of 'Spirituality' and is ruled by the strongest God Force represented by number 7. In Western Astrology, this number is associated with the watery planet Neptune and in Hindu Astrology it swings to the moods of the half-planet Ketu. It is said that during our time, which is in 'kaliyug' (the era of darkness), Rahu, Ketu and Saturn have become more powerful and active than other planets and exert maximum influence on mankind and the earth as a whole.
