You see them with their parents, and you see them in groups. Who are they? They are the "Indigo Children". These are the children, born in increasing numbers since the 1970's, who are already highly evolved spiritually when they are born. How can we recognize them, these Indigos? Even though, at a glance, they look just the same as all children? If you look closely there is a difference. It is subtle, but it is definitely there. If you are sensitive to energies, you may notice a difference to their energy, like a lightness. Like there is "light shining out of their faces".

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: The Indigo Children: The New Kids Have Arrived
The following is an excerpt from the new book, The Indigo Children: The New Kids Have Arrived by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober What is an Indigo Child? And why do we call them Indigo? First, the definition: An Indigo child is one who displays a new and unusual set of psychological attributes and shows a pattern of behavior generally undocumented before. This pattern has common unique factors that suggest that those who interact with them (parents, in particular) change their treatment and upbringing of them in order to achieve balance. To ignore these new patterns is to potentially create imbalance and frustration in the mind of this precious new life. The subject of this chapter is to identify, qualify, and validate the attributes of an Indigo Child.

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: Life Purpose: Personal & Global
Every individual has a Life Purpose. This is the mission that you agreed to prior to your incarnation. There are two parts to your Purpose: a personal one and a global one. Your personal Purpose involves a particular characteristic that you're trying to develop in this life, such as patience or compassion. Your global Purpose involves discovering, developing, and using your natural talents and interests to help other people and the planet.

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: How to Raise an Indigo Child - School of Metaphysics
How does one become a mental gymnast, fluid in thought and expression? Can intelligence be developed? Can intuition be taught? Is mystical experience everyone's future? An urgent need to know these answers is present in the minds of increasing numbers of people. People are waking up, realizing that maturity, wisdom, and self mastery are worthy goals in life. They are redefining life experience beyond the cars they drive, the money they make, and the people they know. In greater numbers they are viewing life as a spiritual journey for Self mastery.

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: The Systems Busters - The Way of the Indigo Warrior
"Indigo Children" is the name given to a very special group of beings who have chosen to incarnate on our planet with a specific mission and purpose. The name "indigo Child" refers to the soul color of Indigo, which indicates a Master Soul who serves as a teacher or healer. Every Indigo Child will undertake this mission of teaching or healing in some way, often merely by being who he or she is. Indigos have been coming to our planet for a long time. Some argue that Jesus and Buddha were Indigos, since their mission, on a global scale, was to teach and heal, and to shift the consciousness of humanity.

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: The Indigo's Reality
The reality of our world is a shifting, evolving, dynamic energy field. As part of this ecosystem, humanity is grow, and developing. As the needs of the whole shift, changes need to be made in the parts that make up that whole. So it is with the auras. A new colour-Indigo-has emerged, with ski talents, and physical characteristics significantly different those of the other colors. At this time, most Indigos are still children or young adults. I see Indigo children as a new co invested with new talents and abilities that will be necessary for our evolution. These children have unique characteristics for which we can only guess the purpose.

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: An Indigo Dilemma - Learning Disabled or Not?
With so many of the Indigos being diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, and other learning disabilities, I thought some might find the following of interest. We experienced these difficulties before we discovered the Indigo information, but my daughter, Jessie, displays many of the Indigo traits. I should add as an aside that visual training proved beneficial, but we are also exploring "whole-brain" educational methods such as multiple intelligences. Also, if you look at natural learning models, such as the Sudbury School model, you'll see that the only learning disabled they encounter are those who have lost the ability to learn naturally through play. I've no doubt that the Indigos will teach us many new ways of learning. Meanwhile, I hope the following information will prove helpful to some.

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: A Different Kind of Memory What do Indigos Dream?
I have taught many parents how to interpret their children's dreams. Knowing the language of mind gives you an invaluable window into your child's consciousness. When Briana was eleven I asked her parents, who are both dream interpreters, how often she remembered her dreams. Her mother, Teresa, said she remembered about four every week. Teresa also thought Bri had an idea of what her dreams meant. I encouraged her to listen to Briana's ideas and build upon them. When Teresa said sometimes it was like "pulling teeth to get her to express her thoughts," I suggested she encourage Bri to draw or even act out her dreams.

| | | | | Spiritual Parenting: Gratitude Prerequisite for Reasoning
I was looking forward to working in the studio with Paul Madar. We planned to lay the foundation for a CD of Atlantean music. Produced by dulcimer strings, the vibrations would align consciousness, opening the listener's mind to ancient healing methods. We were ready to go and I was preparing Paul's frame of mind. I thought of the metaform, a revolving geometric form, that might facilitate focusing Paul's attention. I quickly went to the upper room to retrieve it.

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: Hungry all the Time Insatiable Appetites for Learning
When Ki turned seven I knew it was time to organize my thoughts so I could give guidance and a sense of mental structure to his learning. Seven was when the ancient Greeks began to school their boys. Seven was when youth were admitted into monasteries. If it seems like a magical number, it is. The physical world is based upon cycles of seven. For a newly incarned soul, this means the first seven years of life the child is using the body constructed for him or her primarily by the genetics of both parents and the thoughts of the pregnant mother.

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: Indigos and Indigo Children
I have a seven-year-old Indigo son. I've been working as a teacher's aide in his classrooms through preschool, kindergarten, and now first grade, and I've observed his interactions with Indigos and non-Indigos of all ages. It's been interesting! In fact, trying to put it all down in writing has been a challenge because the children do so many subtle things. Indigos process their emotions differently than non Indigos because they have high self-esteem and strong integrity. They can read you like an open book and quickly notice and neutralize any hidden agendas or attempts to manipulate them, however subtly. In fact, they can see your hidden agendas even if you can't! They have inherently strong determination to work things through for themselves and only want outside guidance if it's presented to them with respect and within a format of true choice. They prefer to work situations out for themselves.

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: The Little Red Schoolhouse Turns Indigo
One of the most brilliant people I've come across thus far is John Taylor Gatto. He's the New York Teacher of the Year whose in-the-know insights set the establishment on its ear every time they are presented. For example, when Daniel and I gave his sisters, who are public educators, copies of Gatto's book Dumbing Us Down the only comment one of them would offer was "sounds like a burned out teacher." Appropriate feedback in this age of cynicism. I am a teacher of adults. I understand the call to teach and what happens when you respond. I have met many teachers, and I hear loud and clear that it's a battle trying to teach anything in the public school system. I also hear how one man did something to help his kids, often defying the system to do it. When you are fulfilling your purpose, for Gatto it is to teach, you don't get burned out. You learn.

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: Drawing on your Dreams for Conscious Parenting
I was the observer of the action in this dream. The action took place in a city with a foreign feel. Maybe Italy. The streets were stone or bricks. Very narrow and winding. Alongside were tenement type houses two to three stories high. It could have been "Little" something in any major US city. There was a plot to assassinate the President. A parade was winding through the narrow streets, filling them from building to building like when they run the bulls in Madrid. A shot rang out. The President was hit. I knew instantly he was paralyzed, not so much the body as the throat. He couldn't talk. There were Secret Service men there, one died, the others whisked the President away.

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: Creating a Spiritual Focus for Your Family interviews with the Padillas
Teresa and Ernie Padilla are the parents of a beautiful girl who is now into her teens. In 1997, they attended what is called a Spiritual Focus Weekend on the campus of the College of Metaphysics in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri. Here they gathered with several other parents and a mentor for the express purpose of coming to deeper awarenesses of themselves as parents. The weekend, combining instruction, discussion, practices, and an Intuitive Report on each child, fueled their aspirations and restructured the way they saw themselves as people and their daughter as a soul.

| | | | Spiritual Parenting: A Different Kind of Memory
I was preparing supper for twenty-five people in the College of Metaphysics kitchen. Ki had been playing with "Gary", a newly-engaged 30-year-old who planned to half-jokingly have a dozen kids. The time to serve the dishes had come. I turned from the stove to see Hezekiah coming toward me surrounded in a black cloud, eyes swimming in tears, a scowl on his face. Immediately, I held out my arms and lifting him in my arms I said, "What's happened?"
