Hinduism Dictionary on Dosha
dosha: (Sanskrit) "Bodily humor; individual constitution." Three bodily humors, which according to ayurveda regulate the body, govern its proper functioning and determine its unique constitution. These are - vata, the air humor;
- pitta, the fire humor; and
- kapha, the water humor.
Vata has its seat in the intestinal area, pitta in the stomach, and kapha in the lung area. They govern the creation, preservation and dissolution of bodily tissue. Vata humor is metabolic, nerve energy. Pitta is the catabolic, fire energy. Kapha is the anabolic, nutritive energy. The three doshas (tridosha) also give rise to the various emotions and correspond to the three gunas, "qualities:" sattva (quiescence- vata), rajas (activity- pitta) and tamas (inertia- kapha). See: ayurveda, kapha, pitta, vata.

| | | | | | | Spiritual Jokes and Spiritual Humour: Listen to the Cosmic Laughter
The funny thing about life is that there usually isn't much to laugh about! "I'm not very happy most of the time," quipped Woody Allen. "The rest of the time I'm not happy at all." On television, the joke is on someone else, so we laugh. Someone else's slip-up, struggles, loss of face, sleepless nights. In real life, however, the joke is usually on us. Maybe comedies bring us relief from our own frustrations and failures by drawing our attention to the fictional disasters of others. Or is it that we get to view a reflection of ourselves in those characters on the screen and so present a disguised opportunity to see the humorous angle of what happens to all of us; a form of catharsis; a chance to unwind and ease the tension of our troubled minds?

| | | | Spiritual Jokes and Spiritual Humour: Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
In my own spiritual transition to the Awakened state, I suffered and endured many of these changes. Annarita has thoroughly documented many of the symptoms and changes inherent in both the Awakening and the transition into the Octarine stage of Indigo life. Your mileage may vary. And if you find yourself really feeling out of whack, go see your doctor. It is better that you find you're basically OK than to permit a possible major disease like diabetes or heart disease to develop under your nose. As always, common sense, good grounding and a good sense of humor are your best tools for coping. See you on the Other Side!

| | | | | Spiritual Jokes and Spiritual Humour: Music For The SoulSound leads to understanding unity and divinity. Hence
the importance given to the recitation of the sacred syllable - Om. Whatever
the music, if it is spiritually moving, it elevates the spirit and affects
positively both mind and body. While good music is highly beneficial, todays
cacophony of loud noises in the environment aggravates stress and will
eventually destroy us. Remember, sound is a powerful force Ñ it can heal; it
can also destroy.

Dictionary - Reptile
Reptile - If a reptile attacks you in a dream, there will be trouble of a serious nature ahead for you. If you succeed in killing it, you will finally overcome obstacles.
- To see a dead reptile come to life, denotes that disputes and disagreements, which were thought to be settled, will be renewed and pushed with bitter animosity.
- To handle them without harm to yourself, foretells that you will be oppressed by the ill humor and bitterness of friends, but you will succeed in restoring pleasant relations.
- For a young woman to see various kinds of reptiles, she will have many conflicting troubles. Her lover will develop fancies for others. If she is bitten by any of them, she will be superseded by a rival.

Alternative
Health Dictionary on Unani
Unani (Unani medicine, Unani system of medicine, Unani Tibb): System based on the ancient Greek theory of four basic elements - air, earth, fire, and water - and four bodily fluids (humors) - blood, phlegm, black bile, and yellow bile (choler). The goal of Unani is the balancing of humors. Temperament stems from the dominant humor and is a determinant of diagnosis and treatment. For example, anger and irritability manifest an excess of yellow bile. Unani is the Arabic word for Greek. Hikmat and Tibe-Unani are synonymous with Unani medicine.

Ayurveda Ayurvedic Dictionary on Panchakarma Basic Principles
Panchakarma Basic Principles Panchakarma consists of medicated emesis (vamana) to remove excess kapha, therapeutic purgation (viracana) to clear excess pitta, medicated enema (vasti) to eject excess vata, nasal drops or snuffs (nasya) for diseases of the head & neck and bloodletting (raktamokshana) in case of blood disorders. Five purification procedures for removing accumulated toxins and other waste material in the body. As the humors and tissues are related closely to each other, this discharge procedure affects the tissues indirectly by the strong elimination of related humor. For example, the pronounced elimination of kapha by herb induced emesis causes an effect on the nutrient tissue fluid pool, containing water and electrolytes, plasma, muscle, fat. Or the large release of pitta by selective purgation similarly causes an indirect effect on the total colouring material in the body or blood. Vasti is somewhat different, as it is meant to nullify excess vata and contains warm oleation substances. During its long contact with the membrane of the large intestine, it separates layers of faecal matter and thus enhances better absorption, which is responsible for the ultimate nourishment of all tissues. Nasya in turn cleans the sinus and thereby improves the function of sense organs. Physical and mental diseases occur due to the vitation of somatic doshas vata, pitta and kapha and due to mental doshas Rajas and Tamas. Volitional transgression, effect of time and senses are the three primary causes responsible for vitation of biological and mental doshas. Food, drinks & environmental factors with similar properties to the doshas vitiates them and cause disease. Panchakarma's purificatory therapies balance out the three doshas, acting both as a curative and a preventive measure.

Anahata ChakraChakras:
Anahata Chakra
Anahata
chakra, the heart center, is related to the air element. Here the language of
emotional needs is replaced by that of devotional needs, which is to say,
"I need" has become "I love" or "I feel devotional
yearnings." The soul is reaching beyond the ego's hopes for self-directed
autonomy and emotional closeness and senses the fulfillments of a shared
reality. Indeed, the limited and fictive sense of the separate-self ego is
coming to light.
