Cherokee healing (Cherokee Medicine): Traditional medicine of the Cherokees, a Native American people.

Its apparent principle is that, if one holds back the light in one's being, one causes:

(a)           occlusion of one's meridians and rivers of life and

New Age advocates believe that crystals contain incredible healing and energizing powers. Crystals are often touted as being able to restore the "how of energy" in the human body.

A magically charged liquid which has to have a crystal or gem sitting in it for a specific amount of time before it is ready to drink.

Scrying

A method of divination using a crystal ball, shiny stone, dark mirror,, bowl of water or other reflective object or surface until psychic visions appear. The art dates back to ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, and practitioners aim to answer questions, solve problems, find lost objects or people, and help solve crimes.

The tool of scryers is called a speculum, which can be any object, but is usually one with reflective surface. The French physician and astrologer Nostrodamus used a brass bowl of water on a tripod. Dr. John Dee, astrologer to Queen Elizabeth I, used a crystal egg and black obsidian mirror. The stereotypical speculum is the crystal ball as popularized by gypsy fortune-tellers.

CRYSTAL

Crystallized rock, quartz and gemstones are the highest forms of the mineral kingdom. If you accept the fact that the earth is alive, as the entire manifest universe is alive, then crystals, although not biodes, are centers of mineral "intelligence", deriving from elemental proto-evolution. It is through crystal that messages are broadcast via the air-waves and as earth is the amalgamating force, crystallization precedes formation of the most primitive amino acids of life. Thus, for the adept, crystals are avenues of cosmic information, quantum change and negentropy.

CRYSTAL SKULL

A replica of an ancient human skull hewn out of a single rock crystal and found by Anna Mitchell-Hedges in 1927 in the Mayan burial-ground, Labaantún, British Honduras. Light reflected from the zygomatic arch and funneled along the optic bridge causes the eye-sockets to shine brightly. The skull also emits concentrated pinpoints of light and serves as a magnifying glass and scrying ball. If suspended properly, the jaw will open and close, the eyes will flash and it will easily nod yes or no. Tests reveal that it was not carved by metal tools.

Small crystal skulls have throughout the past couple of centuries been unearthed in Central America and a large one, similar to the Michell-Hedges skull, was already in the British Museum. The M-H skull is of far superior quality, however, and the British version is derived from the former.

 CSICOP

"Committee for the Scientific Investigation Of the Paranormal," founded in 1976 by New York professor of philosophy, Paul Kurz. Its membership originally included many well-known, rigid authority figures from the scientific establishment, such as B.F. Skinner, Isaac Asimov and Carl Sagan. It is dedicated single-mindedly to the discrediting of any technically unsubstantiated, over-imaginative or simply "unscientific" point of view.

CRYSTAL BALL: though many types of crystal can be bought in sphere (round) form, this term is almost exclusively a reference to the clear quartz type, used for scrying and divination. Its round shape makes it a Goddess symbol, which is why periodic moonbaths will keep it clear of negative energies and enhance its psychic powers.

CRYSTAL THERAPY: Crystal therapy, sometimes referred to as gem therapy or crystal healing, is the use of quartz crystals, gemstones, and other types of crystals and stones for therapeutic and healing purposes.

The use of stones and crystals are also used with chakra balancing and color therapy. Crystals and gemstones, like the human body, are known to have electromagnetic energy. They emit vibrations and frequencies that have the very powerful potential to affect the whole being--body, mind, and spirit.

CRYSTAL THERAPY

A crystal is a mineral that is nearly transparent and colorless or has a slight color.

Practitioners of crystal healing believe that crystals, particularly quartz crystals such as amethyst or clear quartz, contain energy that enhances healing of both body and mind. They believe that crystals can be "charged" with this healing energy, in a manner similar to the charging of a flashlight battery. The charged crystal can then be used to alter the energy patterns in the person receiving treatment.

Crystals, gem stones, and healing stones are beneficial for ill children and adults not only because of their healing energy but because of their beauty and tactile smoothness. Many novelty shops sell flat indented smooth stones, called "worry stones," that help instill as sense of peacefulness when rubbed.

Its principle is that crystals draw light and color into the body's aura and thus raise its frequency and allow the emergence of lower frequency energies, which are healthful.
