Arati:

1)  A ritual act of worship during which a flame, symbolic of the individual soul, is waved before the form of a deity, sacred being, or image that embodies the light of Consciousness.

2)  The name of the morning and evening prayer that is sung with the waving of lights, in honor of Bhagawan Nityananda, twice each day in Siddha Yoga ashrams.
