Sash: Encyclopedia II - Obi sash - Obi and traditional Japanese clothing
Obi are the top-most sash worn with various styles of Japanese clothing; several other sashes may be worn under the obi to secure the clothing in place and/or to enhance the shape of the body or of the uppermost sash. Putty is a generic term for a plastic material similar in texture to clay or dough typically used in domestic construction and repair as a sealant or filler. Sash: Encyclopedia II - Shen Gong Wu - Wudai Weapons

The following are weapons that Master Fung have sent the Xiaolin Warriors to obtain, via a "treasure" map (as opposed to the Sacred Shen Gong Wu Scroll), as sort of a graduation present for their reaching the Wudai level. The Wudai Weapons seem to rank closer to Master Monk Guan's Spear of Guan, as opposed to the Shen Gong Wu, which are ranked lower than the Wudai Weapons. The Wudai Weapons are specifically for the Xiaolin Warriors' Wudai level, since Dojo couldn't sense them, the scroll had no info on them, and they were never wagered in a showdown. ...

Sash: Encyclopedia II - Quilt - Quilting technique

The quilt top is created either from blocks or one whole piece of cloth. In the more common case of blocks, a number of techniques are used to create the blocks. The blocks are then sewn together, either edge to edge, or with separator strips of cloth called sashing. Borders are then often added to help set off the piece, and then a binding is added to edge the quilt after the quilting is done. As an example, the "science" quilt image above has 35 blocks arranged in a 5x7 pattern, set with a sashing of green strips combined with red squares at the corners of the blocks ...

Sash: Encyclopedia II - City of Ten Thousand Buddhas - Traditions held at the monastery

Two of the distinguishing features of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas are that unlike in many other Chinese Buddhist monasteries, the monastics always wear their kasaya sashes (long sashes that are worn outside the monastic clothing), and they eat only one meal a day and only before noon. At night most of them sit up and rest, not lying down to sleep. Monastics at the city do not have any social lives, nor do men and women intermingle. Whereas many ordinary Chinese monks go out to perform rituals for events such as weddings or funera ...
