ARTICLES RELATED TO Realisation | | | | Realisation: Impertinent Query, Profound Answer " That is the essence of science: Ask an impertinent question and you are on the way to the pertinent answe r", wrote Dr J Bronowski in Ascent of Man. This statement is probably equally - or perhaps more - valid in our spiritual quests. The Kathopanishad starts with Nachiketa posing a question to his father Vajasravasa, who was giving away gifts after a Yagna . | | | Realisation: The Art Of Living In Solitariness There exists a misconception in the field of western psychology, that one who is self-centred, turns out to be selfish. Spirituality or the goal of self-realisation is perceived as creating self-engrossed and selfish people who vitiate the character of society. Self-realisation may mean self-engrossment but a self-engrossed person cannot be selfish; these are two different things. A selfish person does not know his inner self. There is an inverse relation between selfishness and self-realisation. The higher the degree of self-realisation, the lesser the selfishness. | | | Realisation: Matter And Energy, Brahman And Maya Spirituality is man’s realisation of the spirit. According to advaita , the non-dualistic philosophy of Vedanta , this spirit, which is also called the Brahman , created this entire universe through matter and energy. All objects are the outcome of one primal matter. All natural forces like gravitation, and thoughts and feelings on the consciousness level, are the outcome of a primal energy called prana . | | | Realisation: Cessation of Thought Leads to True Self The sense of "I" pertains to the person. When a man knows his true self for the first time, something else arises from the depths of his being and takes possession of him. That something is beyond mind and body; it is infinite, divine, eternal. Some people call it the kingdom of heaven, others call it the soul and still others nirvana . Hindus call it moksha or liberation. You may give it what name you like but when it happens, a man has truly found himself. The recognition of pure being - the absolute - is the supreme and ultimate truth. | | | Realisation: Rise Above Dogma, Realise
The TruthOneness: Rise Above Dogma, Realise The Truth When I pass by the neighbourhood mosque, I bow my head in respect just as I do when I pass by the temple. The mullah's call to the faithful turns me towards prayer and God. I go through the same upsurge of emotions when I visit a church or gurdwara. When I bow my head in humility to Christ and the Guru Granth Sahib, I see in them my beloved Lord Krishna. Similarly, when I hear the Buddhist chant: ''Buddham Sharanam Gachchhami'', it continues to reverberate within me for long after, giving me the same sense of peace I experience when I say my usual prayers. | | | Realisation: Yoga For
Self-RealisationYoga has eight steps for self-realization. Of these two are most important. These need to be mastered before heading towards the other six because without these the asanas will end up being just mere exercises to keep the body fit. The first two steps are called Yam and Niyam . These need to be followed internally for preparing oneself for the higher consciousness. Read more here: » Yam and Niyam: Yoga For

 | | | Realisation: Truth Is a Pathless Land - KrishnamurtiJ Krishnamurti departed from this world 17 Februarys ago. He was a philosopher deeply sceptical of the smokescreen that is the mind. Krishnamurtis every realisation was the out-come of a spontaneous, non-biased, non-preconceived way of living, with no mind playing the filter. In truth he had little to teach, save that knowledge is not taught but realised. But his audiences made a teaching even out of that! | | | Realisation: The Certainties of A Changing WorldSpiritual Growth: The Certainties of A Changing World You can be at ease with the uncertainty of the world when you realise the certainty of the consciousness. Often people do just the opposite. They are certain about the world but uncertain about God. They rely on something that is not reliable, and they get upset. Uncertainty causes craving for stability. The most stable thing in the universe is our Self. Read more here: » Spiritual Growth: The Certainties of A Changing World |

 | | | Realisation: Encyclopedia II - Valorisation - Valorisation and the realisation of capitalValorisation of capital is for Marx not at all the same as the "realisation of capital". Value may be added in the production process, but this additional value may not be realised unless the outputs are sold at a favorable price.
At an unfavourable price, output is sold without increasing capital assets. So, new value added in production may be lost to the producer or owner, when the new product is traded.
In reality, Marx argues, the valorisation of capital in one enterprise is dependent on the valorisation of many rel ...
