rays: Spiritual - Theosophy Dictionary on Seven Rays, Seven Solar Rays

Seven (Solar) Rays Sunlight contains the characteristic potency of every one of the seven solar logoi. It is possible for the adept to sound seven notes, each of which will be in more or less perfect synchrony with the vibrational rate of the respective solar ray or power issuing from its own solar logos.

Such ancient magic is not only an act of reverential unity with the lord and giver of life for the solar system, but puts one in synchrony of a spiritual and intellectual as well as psychical type with the spiritual and other powers resident in and issuing from the sun (cf ML 73). Mystic words of seven vowels refer in a general fashion to the same ancient wisdom-magic.

Dream Interpretation X-Rays

If you dream of being x-rayed, you are afraid that someone will look "through you". Seeing an x-ray of yourself means that you are facing an unpleasant situation. Seeing an x-ray of someone else: you will discover a new side of a well-known person.

rays: Dream Interpretation - X-rays

X-rays

Most X-ray dreams reflect a desire for inner knowledge concerning the dreamer or someone with whom the dreamer has an ongoing relationship. We often think that life would be better if we knew what made others tick. X-ray dreams often reveal the desire to know more of the inner self.

Another scenario is medical. If you have not been feeling well lately, but do not seem genuinely sick, you may dream of X-rays in a desire to resolve uneasiness about your health. Often, our minds will go searching for solutions to waking problems through dreams. In the case of health, this would mean typical medical associations.

rays: New Age Spirituality Dictionary on Seven Rays

Seven Rays

According to the writings of Helena P Blavatsky and Alice A Bailey, an ancient tradition in which seven rays or energies, are the fundamental divine energies behind life in the universe. The original divine qualities of the Absolute.

Each individual human soul is an essential part of one of the Seven Rays, and through a succession of lifetimes the qualities of that Ray are developed and refined, to further the evolution of humanity. These rays function as a sevenfold division of many physical realities, including the colors of the spectrum, the notes of a musical octave, and the natural cycle of birth and death.

The initialization of every process is governed by the First Ray, and its completion by the Seventh Ray, and the other Rays govern the various stages of growth and decay between these two extremes. (see Seven Rays)

rays: Reach for the Rays Of Truth Within - About Guru

Very few recognise the importance of seeking out a guru whom they can look to for guidance.

Guru is not God but God is guru because the guru leads the disciple from darkness to light. God encompasses both light and darkness; He is formless, omnipotent, immovable, and immortal. The guru is a glass of water from the ocean called God. An ideal guru-shishya relationship would be one of friendship and the student should feel free to question his teacher. Both are united by unconditional love, in a relationship that transcends the physical, mental, emotional and the intellectual involvement. Such a relationship has the capacity to weather any storm.

rays: The Science of Planetary Gemology

The Science of Planetary Gemology is one that has been used in accordance with astrology for thousands of years. It is the science of understanding how gemstones transmit and reflect planetary rays, and how they will increase planetary influences in a personÕs life.

Different gemstones are said to receive their potencies from the cosmic energies of various planets. Vedic astrology and the Ayurvedic system of medicine tell us that certain planets can have effects on bodily organs and parts of the body. The planets are also said to have effects on our minds and subtle parts of our consciousness. In addition, their specific positions in the horoscope indicate the path of destiny.

rays: Encyclopedia - Alpha particle

Alpha particles or alpha rays (named after the first letter in the greek alphabet, α) are a highly ionizing form of particle radiation which have low penetration. They consist of two protons and two neutrons bound together into a particle identical to a helium nucleus; hence, it can be written as He2+. Alpha particles are emitted by radioactive nuclei such as uranium or radium in a process known as alpha decay. This sometimes leaves the nucleus in an excited state, with the emission of a gamma ray removing the excess energy. In contrast to beta decay, ...

An x-ray machine is a machine used to produce x-rays via x-ray tubes. These machines are designed to generate man made x-ray photons on demand. X-ray machine - History. Hermann von Helmholtz formulated mathematical equations for X-rays. Physicist Johann Hittorf observed tubes with energy rays extending from a negative electrode. William Crookes investigated the effects of energy discharges on rare gases. Heinrich Hertz began experimenting and demonstrated that cathode rays could penetrate very thin metal fo ...

rays: Encyclopedia - Ultraviolet

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is electromagnetic radiation of a wavelength shorter than that of the visible region, but longer than that of soft X-rays. It can be subdivided into near UV (380–200 nm wavelength), far or vacuum UV (200–10 nm; abbrev. FUV or VUV), and extreme UV (1–31 nm; abbrev. EUV or XUV). When considering the effect of UV radiation on human health and the environment, the range of UV wavelengths is often subdivided into UVA (380–315 nm), also called Long Wave or " ...

rays: Encyclopedia - Virtual image

Virtual image is a term used in optics and physics. It is a representation of an actual object (source) formed by diverging rays of light which seem to originate from the image, but in reality do not cross at that position. A screen or an observer placed where a virtual image appears to be cannot actually "see" it. For example, a plane or convex mirror forms a virtual image positioned behind the mirror. Although rays of light seem to come from behind the mirror, light from the so ...

By their nature, asymptomatic diseases are not usually discovered until the patient undergoes medical tests (X-rays or other investigations).
