In the act of
lovemaking the couple embodies the dyadic wholeness of the Supreme. TANTRIC
sexual union resonates with the very foundational energies of the Universe: it
captures, magnifies and re-directs the essential Cosmic Power of Life. It is
therefore not by chance that sexual intercourse brings the most intense
emotional experience that the human being can have while in the flesh.
Therefore TANTRA uses it predominantly to create that overwhelming unifying
energy. The erotic impulse stirs up the KUNDALINI energy so that it can rise,
through the subtle duct of power along the spine, to the highest center of
power above the head. This process renders the adept immortal:

Initiation - Awakening the KundaliniShaktipat Initiation - Awakening the Kundalini
Kundalini can be awakened by attaining perfection of certain hatha
yoga postures called asanas, by certain breathing exercises aimed at
controlling the breath called pranayama, by God's grace, by
meditation or by intense devotion.
Another technique of
great importance is Shaktipat, the transmission of energy. A powerful yogi can
transmit energy to an aspirant and awaken the Kundalini. This is accomplished
in one of four ways: by touch, gaze, sound or thought.

Living Tradition of Sahaj MargSahaja Yoga: The Living Tradition of Sahaj Marg
The Raja Yoga system
known as "Sahaj Marg" is still relatively obscure in the West, even
among Yoga aficionados. This is largely due to the fact that Sahaj Marg has
been a low-key, word-of-mouth practice. Works by the lineage of Sahaj Marg
Masters, published under the auspices of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM),
are difficult to locate, and beyond the abhyasis or practitioners of
Sahaj Marg, few are aware that SRCM centers have been established worldwide
since the Mission was founded in India fifty years ago.

Sadhanas for Kundalini AwakeningOne should become perfectly desireless and
should be full of Vairagya before attempting to awaken Kundalini. It can be
awakened only when a man rises above Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Mada and other impurities. Kundalini
can be awakened through rising above desires of the senses. The Yogi, who has
got a pure heart and a mind free from passions and desires will be benefited by
awakening Kundalini. If a man with a lot of impurities in the mind awakens the
Sakti by sheer force through Asanas, Pranayamas and Mudras, he will break his
legs and stumble down.

Detachment is a great wealth. Devotion is the real asset in life. Why does man not work for such a wealth? This is due to the fact that the mind has not been purified. Impure mind craves impure things. Mantras help us to purify the mind and uplift the quality of life. Mantra yoga is all about working on purifying the mind. The object of yoga is to lift a person off the psychological mess he rests upon.

YogaKundalini Yoga Ð In this style of
yoga, the spine is regarded as a snake. It was brought to the West by Yogi
Bhajan in the late 1960s. The practice concentrates on releasing the Kundalini
energy which is found at the base of the spine. Kundalini Yoga includes a
series of classic poses and chanting. The emphasis however, is not on the Asana
but on the chanting. Spiritual transformation is the main aim of practice.

Benefits with awakened KundaliniKundalini Maha Yoga: Physical and Mental Benefits with
Awakened Kundalini Self-realization is the ultimate and the most
desirable state to be attained, and the awakened Kundalini leads to this state.
However, even when the Kundalini is aroused and spiritual evolution is
substantially hastened, there is no guarantee that Self-realization will be
attained in the current lifetime. Therefore, it is encouraging to know many
tangible benefits are gained even during the early states of the awakening and
upward travel of the Kundalini.

| | | | Rajas: Dance of Intellect: Mantra Yoga
To think wisely, the mind needs to undergo a purification process. Mantras help us to purify the mind and make full use of the intellect. Once, an oyster tried to distract a pearl diver. With great effort, it placed a loose pearl on a leaf on the ocean bed. The pearl diver, however, did not see the pearl - he caught the oyster. We don't know where to look and we become a victim of our limited knowledge.

Maha Yoga and World PeaceKundalini Maha Yoga and World Peace
We are in a state of
unbalanced development, lacking on the spiritual side. Therefore, to attain
what is missing -- peace, harmony and brotherhood -- it is necessary to realize
that the entire universe is the creation of God, that all life is one, and that
all are children of love. This realization is spiritual; it is not intellectual
comprehension of an ideal.
