| | | | Rage: Encyclopedia II - Rage Against the Machine - History
The duos of Zack de la Rocha and Tim Commerford and Tom Morello and Brad Wilk teamed up in 1990 to form a band. Their name was derived from the song "Rage Against the Machine" by de la Rocha's former group, Inside Out. Shortly after forming, they gave their first public performance in a living room in Orange County, California and self-produced a 12-song cassette which already included songs like "Bullet in the Head" [1]. The original b-side is an odd composition entitled "(Don't Lose What's Left) Of Your Little Mind". It was released in two versions, a 4 minute mix and a 6 minute mix and featured Holly Johnson vamping in a strange "vampire voice" ("Ha ha ha / I am the c ...

| | | | | | | Rage: Encyclopedia II - List of fighting game terms - Rage GaugeThe rage gauge is a super combo gauge where the only way to gain energy is to get hit. It was introduced, and most commonly used, in the Samurai Shodown series of games.
Because of the way power in the gauge is obtained, the rage gauge typically gives many bonuses when completely filled up. For example, characters typically deal significantly more damage when the rage gauge is full. However, this gauge often has drawbacks: it is not uncommon for the gauge automatically empty after a certain period of time (w ...
