| | | | Rage: Encyclopedia II - Streets of Rage - Streets of RageReleased in 1991 when Sega's 16 bit console needed an increase of sales against the SNES, which boasted most of Capcom's arcade ports such as Final Fight. The story resembled a typical '80s street cop movie: an evil crime syndicate has taken control of a nameless city and three young police officers (Axel, Blaze and Adam) decide to turn in the badge, and take it on by themselves, walking the streets and fighting crimin ...

 | | | Rage: Encyclopedia II - Warrior World of Warcraft - RageWarriors have an unusual system for making use of their special abilities. This system is based on an attribute called rage. Rage is normally at zero until a warrior enters combat. It then builds up as a result of taking or dealing damage. Rage is expended every time a warrior performs a special move (Such as Heroic Strike). More powerful abilities (such as Mortal Strike)require more rage than other abilities. On ...

 | | | Rage: Encyclopedia II - Streets of Rage - Streets of Rage 31994 was the year the series saw its end. Streets of Rage 3, packed in a 24 meg cartridge, was an enhanced version of the previous title that had several enhancements such as a more complex plot, multiple endings, lengthier levels, better scenarios (with interactive levels and the return of traps like pits) and faster gameplay (with dash and dodge moves). Weapons could now only be used for a few times before breaking (in the previous titles an object would only disappear when it was dropped for the third time), some bosses could be pl ...

 | | | Rage: Encyclopedia II - Streets of Rage - Streets of Rage 2A year after, Sega refined the successful original title. New music by Yuzo Koshiro (inspired by early '90s club music), more defined graphics and new moves. Two new characters, Sammy "Skate" Hunter and Max Thunder replaced Adam. The "rocket" screen-clearing attack was replaced by a special attack that could be used several times in a level and to release from enemy holds, but wasted players' energy, and now all enemy characters also had their own life bars (a clear nod to Final Fight). A two-player versus arena mode was also added, and alth ...

Playable character from 1 to 3, Axel is the front man of the series. He turns slowly from an all-around to a bruiser in the end of the series. His figthing Style is Martial Arts and his hobby is playing videogames. In the later games, his special attacks are a 360 degree flaming punch (Dragon Wing) and a punch/uppercut combo (Dragon Smash). Millia Rage - Zato-1/Eddie.
Comrades during her stay in the Assassin Syndicate, Millia was the one responsible for Zato's dimensional imprisonment. One of the major relationships throughout the story, Millia's hatred for Zato-1, and thereafter Eddie, will not cease until his utter demise.
During Guilty Gear X, as well as one battle during the story mode of Guilty Gear XX, Millia and Zato's background theme is Still In The Dark. The existence of such a specific theme only helps to clarify the importance of Millia's relationship with Zato-1.

Millia Rage - Background.
Born of Russian decent, Millia lost both of her parents at an early age. She was thereafter adopted into a nearby Assassin Syndicate, where she practiced in the art of Hi-Deigokutsuipou, or the "Six Forbidden Magics". Using the Sixth Hi-Deigokutsuipou, "Angra", Millia was granted a sentient being, similar to that of her own hair. Zato-1 practiced a similar technique, the Fifth Forbidden Magic, "Shokusei Kagejin", though the consequences of such led to his own demise, through the parasitic takeover of his Forbidden Beast, Eddie. It is unknown if Millia's ritual in ...

 | | | Rage: Encyclopedia II - Rage Hard - BackgroundHaving topped the charts around the world with Welcome To The Pleasuredome and it's accompanying singles, Frankie Goes To Hollywood took off to Amsterdam to record the follow up album, Liverpool. Taking on a rockier edge, "Rage Hard" was the first single culled from the disc.
The single's title came from the Dylan Thomas poem "Do not go gentle into that good night".
Of note, "Rage Hard" was a testament to the changing musical landscape in Britain at the time. It was not only the first Frankie single to be featured on CD single, it was also the first s ...
