* Encyclopedia - Daultay Dofine

Daultay Dofine is a fictional character from the Star Wars universe. He was played by Chris Sanders in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. A Neimoidian, Dofine was the captain of the Trade Federation droid control ship Profiteer in the blockade of Naboo. He wore a tall vessel command officer's miter. An extremely cautious and worrisome individual who had attained his lofty rank because of his high birth, Dofine refused to go meet with Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi when they boarded the Profitee ...

* Encyclopedia - Dark Jedi

Dark Jedi is the somewhat misleading name given in the Star Wars fictional universe to those beings who are Force-attuned and adept at the dark side of the Force. They exist only in the Expanded Universe; the term is never used in any of the six Star Wars films, even when the opportunity to do so arises (notably Qui-Gon Jinn's initial report to the Jedi Council during The Phantom Menace). Dark Jedi - Qualifications. Dark Jedi is a label to a specific archetype of characters in the Star Wars Expanded ... Including:

* Encyclopedia II - Obi-Wan Kenobi - Powers and abilities

Despite his preference for diplomacy, Master Kenobi was known as one of the greatest swordsmen the order had ever seen, and the definitive master of Form III (Soresu) lightsaber combat. In his early years, Kenobi had become very skilled with Form IV(Ataru), as inherited from his master Qui-Gon Jinn. But the weakness of this form lay in its need for space. Ataru is a form that utilizes wide slashes and wild acrobatics to avoid injury. Kenobi saw the weakness in Ataru with the death of Qui-Gon at the blade of sith lord Darth Maul. In close qua ...

* Encyclopedia II - Obi-Wan Kenobi - Early life

Kenobi was trained as a youngling in the Jedi Temple under Yoda. Without a Jedi teacher at the age of thirteen, however, Kenobi would have been appointed to work in agricultural labor, where he would never have reached his full potential. Eventually he was accepted by Master Qui-Gon Jinn as a padawan learner. These accounts and more may be found in Jude Watson's Jedi Apprentice series. Little is known of his birth family. According to the series Jedi Apprentice and the novelization of Return of the Jedi, Obi-Wan d ...

* Encyclopedia II - Darth Plagueis - The Origin of Anakin Skywalker

As revealed in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Anakin Skywalker has no biological father. His mother, Shmi Skywalker, was unable to explain to Qui-Gon Jinn how Anakin was conceived. Qui-Gon would later theorize that Anakin was conceived by the midi-chlorians themselves, in accord with the will of the Force. This theory, combined with Anakin's unusually high midi-chlorian count and powerful connection to the Force, led Qui-Gon to believe that Anakin was ...

Obi-Wan Kenobi - The Phantom Menace. At the beginning of The Phantom Menace, Kenobi accompanied Jinn to Naboo, a planet ruled by Queen Padmé Amidala. After making an unscheduled landing on Tatooine, his master stumbled upon Anakin Skywalker, a young slave who showed tremendous potential with the Force. Believing the boy to be the prophecized "Chosen One" who would bring balance to the Force by destroying the Sith, Master Jinn wanted the boy to be trained as a Jedi. Kenobi was also amazed in Anakin' ...

Banished from his childhood home due to his clumsiness, the naïve Jar Jar is first encountered while living in the swamps of Naboo.
