 | | | quality of life: Surrender Yourself Unconditionally The Vedas describe God as being Nirguna (free of qualities) and Niranjana (free of blemish). The Advaita philosophy founded by Adi Sankara explains this concept: "God or Brahman does not have any gunas or qualities". However, Ramanuja of the Vishishtadvaita philosophy explains that nirguna does not mean that God has no qualities, it only means that God has no bad gunas or qualities. chakras and channels of energyChakra - Chakras: The chakras and channels of energy Inside every human being there is a network of nerves and sensory organs that interprets the outside physical world. At the same time, within us resides a subtle system of channels (nadis) and centers of energy (chakras) which look after our physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual being. Each of the seven chakras has several spiritual qualities. These qualities are intact within us, and even though they might not always be manifest, they can never be destroyed. When the Kundalini is awakened, these qualities start manifesting spontaneously and express themselves in our life. Read more here: » Chakra

 | | | quality of life: The Three Selves, Qualities of HeartHuna does a great deal of work on developing qualities of heart and character. Important goals are enthusiasm, saying yes to life, courage and the ability to give and receive unconditional love. The huna practitioner becomes more and more aware of the nurturing and loving aspects of the Earth, and feels loved and supported by nature and connected to all of life. He or she is also able to direct energy to assist the Earth in return for that support. Read more here: » Huna: The Three Selves, Qualities of Heart |

 | | | quality of life: Longing For Right Action Marx wrote: "Life is not determined by consciousness, but consciousness by life". He assumes that man's ability to think, and the quality of his thoughts depend largely on the quality of the life he lives. Marx's thrust is primarily to improve the living conditions of man, a pre-condition for intellectual growth. Marx thus attributes primacy to living by establishing a hierarchy of 'living' and 'thinking'. Descartes' cogito ergo sum (I think, therefore I am) can be placed antithetically to Marx's perception. The Cartesian proposition, which is translated as "I think, therefore I exist", subverts the Marxian hierarchy by attributing primacy to 'thinking'.
