StillnessA soul infuses - life in the human body for a certain
period of time. When the soul inhabits the body, it is still one with God.
The soul, however, is overpowered by powerful forces,
such as the mind, the body, and the outer world, which cause it, over time, to
forget itself. The soul slowly begins to identify itself with the body, mind
and world outside. It is attuned to only one channel Ñ the channel of the
world.

| | | | Power of Thought: Psychic
Perception, Spiritual Insight, and Inspiration Above the rational mind and below the soul realm is an
intermediary plane of consciousness that I call the intuitional. It is very
difficult to characterize this realm, because it transcends mental concepts but
is still not a realm of being like the soul. The intuitional plane is the
"highest" or most subtle and universal part of the created worlds. Although
God and souls are the truly creative agents of the universe, we could say that
the process of creating begins with the intuition and then moves to concepts,
feeling responses, images and shapes, and finally physical manifestation. Thus
intuition is a key to initiating creativity.

| | | | | Power of Thought: How We Get What We GetAt one level, we are nothing more than a bundle
of squiggly energy. Everything in our universe at its essence is comprised of
an electro-magnetic vibration: sky, tree, table, computer, moon and you.
Scientists will verify that we are vibrational creatures living in a
vibrational universe. As we become more aware of how we interact with and shape
the other vibrations around us, we will begin to see how we create the events
in our lives. I believe that understanding how to work with the vibrations that
make up our world is one of the major reasons we're here.

| | | | Power of Thought: Risk, Security, and Triumph Ð
Consequences of the Power of ThoughtNothing
ventured, nothing gained! No pain, no gain! When the going gets tough, the
tough get going, Everything's a trade-off. These are the great truisms or affirmations. It seems our minds are
extremely aware of negative consequences at every turn.
It
is known that take-action people are often not greatly introspective. If you
really let yourself think of the possible negative consequences of any action,
you might never get out of bed in the morning. Some version of that model is
how most people lead their lives. "Play it safe. Don't risk, or you can
lose everything." Or at least... "It will be too painful if you lose."

| | | | Power of Thought: Love Yourself to Love the
WorldA basic
spiritual lesson is to learn to love unconditionally. However, we often
overlook the importance of loving ourselves along with everything else. Every
one of us is a part of the whole of life.
As you
grow to realise that you are an integral part of life's grand picture, it
becomes clear that loving yourself along with everything else is part of the
deal. Most religions teach that selflessness is the ideal; that self-love is
the antithesis of being selfless. Is self-love really opposed to selflessness? And
is it the same as being self-involved?

| | | | | Power of Thought: Asking Empowering
QuestionsPower
of Questions
Questions
guide us in all that we do. Some questions we ask to ourselves, some to others.
We walk into a room and think or ask, "What's going on here?" We hear
the telephone ring and wonder, "Who's that?" We see a friend and ask,
usually quite automatically, "How are you?" Not every question has a
question mark at the end. For example, "I wonder if I'll have trouble
falling to sleep tonight." Or, "Let's see if there are any fresh
vegetables that look good at the supermarket today." These are examples of
rather neutral questions, that is, those that are not empowering or
disempowering. They simply guide us in our observations.

Creating Pictures In Your AuraCreating
Pictures In Your Aura
Mental
pictures can be created in your head and then transferred to the energy field
around your body, your aura. If you create a picture that you are a little too
fat in the rear end, you will invariably take that picture and place it right
on your posterior! Then, each time you look in the mirror, you subconsciously
see the picture and reinforce that negative image: "See, I knew I was too
fat." This may be one reason why so many people end up gaining weight
while on a diet; the negative image pictures they create about themselves get
reinforced so much that it is hard to change them!

| | | | Power of Thought: Prayer Lifts The SpiritMeditation lights up your heart, and liberates you
from all desire for evil. In meditation you may discuss your tribulations with
God; you may excuse yourself for your misdeeds and implore the Lord to grant
you your desire to approach nearer to God. Devote some time each day to commune
with the Lord in solitude; converse with Him. If you cannot concentrate,
continue to express your thoughts in words. Words are like water which fall
upon a rock until it breaks; words will break through your flinty heart. Words
are the shell, meditation the kernel. Words are the body of prayer; meditation,
its spirit.

| | | | | Power of Thought: Fluffing Pillows We are no longer looking for things to change so we can
feel better after we see them change. We are remembering that in order to see
things change, we must change the way we see things. Doing this is what
integrates the feminine principle, within both male and female. Some claim the
Law of Attraction (like attracts like) is a female principle, and that is what
the planet is all about at the moment - reclaiming our feminine energies.

| | | | Power of Thought: Tracking the Ego to Its SourceThe vision of the self and awareness of it as the
abidance in the heart - where the unbroken awareness of ones existence can be
felt spontaneously as the - I-I - has been described by Ramana Maharshi.
What obstructs ones awareness of the fullness of
existence is the ego - the minds wrong identification with a particular body,
mistaking it to be the - I or the subject. Hence the destruction of ego, or its
merging with the source, the only way to experience the joyous and uninterrupted
throb of - I-I.

| | | | Power of Thought: Healing Power of Daily PrayerThe power of everyday prayer is
boundless: It is a documented fact that community prayer services have worked
miracles, especially in healing the sick.
In today's rushed
world, not many people find the time to pray. Even those who do pray are in a
terrible hurry. Naturally then, the heart and mind are often disconnected from
the words of prayer which are uttered as a matter of routine. Instead of having
a heart-to-heart talk with God, we end up merely reciting. So prayer tends to
become a superficial and mechanical task that's not particularly pleasing.
Unsurprisingly, one often prays grudgingly.

| | | | Power of Thought: The Group Mind Principle IIn short, the group mind principle of Nature states that the
resulting force generated from the combining of like minds is geometrically
greater than the sum of its parts. In other words, minds that are focused
together upon a common theme create a mutual force that is not merely additive,
but vastly more powerful than any one individual or group of individuals.

| | | | | Power of Thought: The Group Mind Principle IIThe number of similarities between the function of a two-way radio
and the human body are quite surprising. The body/mind constantly emits all
aspects of our internal state to the environment, and receives input from the
world in the same manner.
In any discussion of group mind phenomena, it is impossible not to
enter into the subject of psychic effect, as well as the principles of natural
law such as resonance or vibration (feeling/frequency) that make it possible.
Similarly, it is not possible to fully understand psychic effects without a
minimum coverage of the energy or chi upon which it is based.

| | | | Power of Thought: Make Friends With Your SelfWhen Jesus said: - The kingdom of God is within - what
He meant was that heaven itself would be a disappointment to restless, worldly
people.
If a person has no true joy in his heart, he will not
find true joy outside though he be in heaven itself, and in the company of
angels. Heaven must be experienced right here, right now, within ourselves if
we are to experience it ever.

| | | | Power of Thought: Oneness and Wellness - The Yogic
WayThe word - health comes from the root word - whole.
When we say we are - feeling healthyÓ, we are saying that we have a sense of
wholeness within us. A person can be said to be of good health only if he feels
complete in body, mind and spirit. Mere medical fitness does not indicate
complete wellness in the true sense.
In order to experience this sense of wholeness and
oneness, its important that in body, mind, and energy functions, there is a
certain level of intensity.

| | | | Power of Thought: Lasting Happiness Through Bhakti Yoga
To attain jitendriyata is to achieve full control over
ones senses. This leads to what is called God-realisation. In this controlled
state all pain and suffering cease permanently.
There are different paths to achieve this height: Gyan yoga,
karma yoga, bhakti yoga, raja yoga, hatha yoga, swara yoga, nada yoga, astanga
yoga; all of these lead to the same goal of achieving communion with God. The
shortest and most suitable path ordained in this Kali Yuga is bhakti yoga. Read more here: » Bhakti Yoga: Lasting Happiness Through Bhakti Yoga |

| | | | Power of Thought: Vedic
Yoga and the Three GunasVedic Yoga and the Three Gunas
The Vedas present a vast pantheon of
deities (devatas) on many different levels, often said to be innumerable or
infinite in number. One of the main early efforts to classify the Vedic Gods
(as in the Brihad Devata of Shaunaka) was to reduce them to the three prime
deities for the three worlds.
Agni
or Fire on Earth (Prithivi)
Vayu or
Wind in the Atmosphere (Antariksha)
Surya
or the Sun in Heaven (Dyaus)
These three deities are three
aspects of the One God or the Purusha, the supreme consciousness principle and
higher Self that is pure light.
