 | | | Phenomenon - Quotes: Encyclopedia II - Phenomenon - Phenomenon in the general senseIn general, apart from its specialized use as a term in philosophy, phenomenon stands for any observable event. | | | Phenomenon - Quotes: The Indigo Children - Who are they, the Indigo Children? Part I Why are they called "Indigo"? The name refers to the colour indigo, and the phenomenon of the Indigo Children was first publicly announced (as far as I know) in 1982, in a book "Understanding your Life through Color", by Nancy Ann Tappe. Apparently, all humans can be categorized into groups (on the spiritual level) and each of these groups has a characteristic colour in their aura. This colour can be seen (or felt) by clairvoyants, if they know what to look for. It can be tested intuitively, eg. with a pendulum. | | | Phenomenon - Quotes: Twp people linked
through past livesFor many years, I was one of the all-time great skeptics of the phenomenon known as "Soul Mates." I knew of many couples who were self-proclaimed soul mates who dissolved their relationship after a few years, and the reasons given seemed shallow to me at best. I've studied several definitions, and my understanding of soul mates is that these are two people who have been linked through past lives, and their essential nature is such that they compliment each other. | | | Phenomenon - Quotes: Indigo- The Color of Money Many are excited about the upcoming New Age movie, "Indigo," written, produced, and directed by three renowned individuals who now live in Ashland - James Twyman, Neale Donald Walsch, and Stephen Simon. Appealing are the career opportunities, the camaraderie of movie-making, the promoting of spirituality and messages of peace and love. Promoters say it will stimulate the local economy and help our schools. But after examining the Indigo Child movement, and specifically the activities of co-writer/producer James Twyman, I see potential consequences for the community -- and for children. A critical view on the Indigo Phenomenon by Lorie Andersson. (See also: Indigo Children, What is Indigo Children, Parenting Indigo Children, Adult Indigo, Indigo Children Channeling)

 | | | Phenomenon - Quotes: Encyclopedia II - Elvis Presley - An American phenomenonAccording to Rolling Stone magazine "it was Elvis who made rock 'n' roll the international language of pop." A PBS documentary once described Presley as "an American music giant of the 20th century who singlehandedly changed the course of music and culture in the mid-1950s." [1]. His recordings, dance moves, attitude and clothing came to be seen as embodiments of rock and roll. Presley sang both hard driving rockabilly and rock and roll dance songs and ballads, laying a commercial foundation upon which other rock and roll musicians wo ...

 | | | Phenomenon - Quotes: Encyclopedia II - Elvis Presley - RelationshipsNo entertainer has ever had their life and intimate relationships examined in as much detail as has Elvis Presley. Even the FBI had a file on him of more than 600 pages. He has been the subject of over 718 books (and counting), including two by his only wife, Priscilla Beaulieu Presley (whom he married on May 1, 1967) and several others by former girlfriends including June Juanico. Since his death many claims to relationships have been made by women who were no more than acquaintances or had short term affairs which were exaggerated for personal gain.

 | | | Phenomenon - Quotes: Encyclopedia II - Elvis Presley - Lasting legacyBy 1957 Elvis Presley was the most famous entertainer in the world. After pioneer band leader Bill Haley spawned interest in rock and roll in western Europe, Presley triggered a wide shift in tastes with effects lasting many decades. Singers in dozens of countries made Presley-influenced records in many languages and his own records were sold around the globe, even behind the former Iron Curtain.
