While driving through Louisiana on their way to an important college football game, six teenagers stop at a camp site. They have a confrontation with a trucker, and the next morning they suspect that their car has been tampered with. To avoid being stranded, they accept a ride into Ambrose: an isolated, nearby town. Once there, they are drawn to Trudy's House of Wax, a museum with surprisingly life-like wax sculptures.
