| | | | | | Paris Hilton: Encyclopedia II - Public relations - Methods tools and tactics
A fundamental technique used in public relations is to identify the target audience, and to tailor every message to appeal to that audience. Minoplis
(Dominican Republic) Very dark-skinned Dominicans or all Haitians, deriving from the expression "me no, please", refering to the beg for life of a person who's going to be executed (derives probably from the English punch-line of a joke, whose origin might have been during the U.S. intervention of the D.R. in 1916-1924).

| | | | Paris Hilton: Encyclopedia II - The Simple Life - PremiseThe series juxtaposes two young, wealthy urban socialites, Paris Hilton, heir to the Hilton Hotel fortune, and her friend Nicole Richie, adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie, with the people and the values of varied environments.
Although the show might be compared to the 1965-1971 situation comedy "Green Acres", the show would later take these fish-out-of-water gals into other occupations... with disastrous Three Stooges-style results, stemming from the perception that the two women are out of touch with reality.
The Penfifteen Club recorded one of the show's themes, ...

| | | | Paris Hilton: Encyclopedia II - X-Play - Constant themesConstant themes show up throughout the series. Such themes include:
Adam and Morgan's eternal hatred for card battle games such as Yu-Gi-Oh!, Japanese dating simulation games, the repetitiveness of the Dynasty Warriors and Mega Man series, and the glut of redundant World War II strategy and first-person shooter games on the market.
Like the above, there is a constant hate (mostly by Adam) for the dreaded "escort mission" usually seen in first-person shooters where the player is forced to keep an NPC character, wh ...

| | | | Paris Hilton: Encyclopedia II - Prank flash - ScreamersUsually the movies begin innocuously, sometimes with a mundane image or even a simple game or quiz designed to keep the viewer's attention on the screen (such as the infamous "What's wrong with this picture?"). Sometimes the image is accompanied by audio which is kept at a deliberately low level, so as to persuade the viewer to turn up the volume on their computer. The image itself may be small to force the user to maximize their browser window. Another technique is to play a song, prompting the user to turn up the volume, with the lyrics of ...
