Avril Incandenza, née Mondragon, is the domineering mother of the Incandenza children and wife to James. A beautiful Québécoise, she becomes a major figure at the Enfield Tennis Academy after the death of her husband. She begins, or perhaps continues, a relationship with Charles Tavis, the new head of the academy and her half brother. Her sexual relations are a matter of some discussion, while maintaining a vague, yet certain sexual relation with John ...

| | | | | Parents Dictionary: The Systems Busters - The Way of the Indigo Warrior
"Indigo Children" is the name given to a very special group of beings who have chosen to incarnate on our planet with a specific mission and purpose. The name "indigo Child" refers to the soul color of Indigo, which indicates a Master Soul who serves as a teacher or healer. Every Indigo Child will undertake this mission of teaching or healing in some way, often merely by being who he or she is. Indigos have been coming to our planet for a long time. Some argue that Jesus and Buddha were Indigos, since their mission, on a global scale, was to teach and heal, and to shift the consciousness of humanity.

| | | | | | Parents Dictionary: Gen-X Celebrates Spirit of Diwali
In her autobiography, Kagazhi hai Pairahan , Ismat Chugtai recalls her experience one Janmashtmi , when as a child, she had visited her friend Sushi's house. Sushi, who otherwise was a friendly soul, wouldn't let her enter the puja room where little Krishna lay in his palna , surrounded by sweets and incense. Young Ismat couldn't resist the lure of Bal Gopal's tantalising smile and stole into the room when no one was looking. She lifted the silver idol and hugged it to her bosom, only to find it rudely snatched from her. Sushi's hysterical mother dragged her out of the house and told her parents of their errant daughter's misdeeds. Ismat had to suffer the blows of her parents too.

Gautama BuddhaBuddha was born approximately 560 B.C. in
Northern India. Through his life, Buddha gave the concept of Nirvana
unprecedented exposure to a large portion of the Eastern world with his
achievement of and subsequent teachings about the state of enlightenment. The
attainment of Buddhahood or Nirvana is a central tenet of Buddhist teachings.
Within the realm of Christianity, the historical Christ echoed the same
teaching, though in a veiled form, by saying that the Kingdom of Heaven is
within us.

Culture of Mexico - Family.
Mexican culture is known for the unified nature of the family. The country's divorce rate is among the lowest in the world (0.33 divorces per 1000 population, compared to 4.95 in the United States) [1]. Children regularly live with their parents until they marry, even if they remain single until their thirties or later. It is also quite common for family units to remain connected, often with grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, and children all living in the same area or even in the s ...

| | | | Parents Dictionary: Alien-ated Youth - They're the next step in human evolution. But they're just like everybody else.
They go by many names, such as Star Kids, Indigos or Crystalline Children. Whatever they're called, believers say this group of prodigies started appearing about 30 years ago and may now make up as much as 90 percent of the population under ten. They also exhibit strange side effects, like a higher resistance to pollutants but an increased sensitivity to sugar and food additives. These are babies born with an inherent knowledge of art, language and spirituality, possessing an impressive wealth of wisdom. Some will even go so far as to say these kids are not only prime candidates for the gifted and talented program, but the next step in human evolution.

| | | | Parents Dictionary: Encyclopedia II - Spanking - ControversySpanking — like corporal punishment in general — is a hotly debated social issue in many countries. Questions exist as to whether children should be spanked (see the sections below), whether it is an effective method of discipline (and if so how it is best done, see above), and whether or at what point it constitutes child abuse. Most of the points mentioned apply more generally to most or all forms of physical punishment.

| | | | Parents Dictionary: QUAOAR by sign A generational indicator (and a look at the Indigos)
The newly-discovered planet, Quaoar, is an astrological key to identifying and understanding generational influences, particularly the Indigo children for whom Quaoar is a key defining astrological planet. Like the other outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto), astrological interpretation of Quaoar by zodiac sign will be a generational indicator rather than a personal energy in the natal chart. In so doing, Quaoar begins by providing a fascinating rear-view mirror to look at 20th Century generations.

| | | | Parents Dictionary: Encyclopedia II - David Reimer - OverviewDavid Reimer was born as a male identical twin, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. His birth name was Bruce; his twin brother was named Brian. At the age of 6 months, after concern was raised about how Bruce and Brian urinated, both boys were diagnosed with phimosis. | | | | Parents Dictionary: Some Guidance from an Elder Indigo
Indigos of all ages are frustrated by the shallowness of society at large, because they like to dig deeply into things that interest them. If TLC or the Discovery channel runs an in-depth series of documentaries on a subject the Indigo is interested in, they are in hog heaven. But heaven forbid if the subject is superficially approached or lightly referred to, because Indigos want to know EVERYTHING, and RIGHT NOW. (And I say, thank God and the Cold War for the Internet.)

His parents were almost certainly of Irish descent, but their exact names, and thus McCarty's own surname, are not known for certain. In 1873 his mother married William Antrim and the family moved to Silver City, New Mexico. His stepfather was a bartender and carpenter but soon became more interested in prospecting ...
