Within non-dualistic branches of Hinduism, it is quite common to regard an enlightened individual as an incarnation of God. The name used to refer to God will vary (e.g. Shiva or Vishnu).

Transit:

The planets are always moving- as they move over key points, such as other planets, in a natal chart, they are said to be 'transiting' that position- so refers to the ever movement of the planets in space. Transits of planets have major effects on all of the world events and us.

Aleuromancy:

From the Greek 'aleuron' and 'manteia' (divination), the divinatory practice of utilizing flour to forecast future events. One method involved mixing flour and water in a bowl and then interpreting the patterns left at the bottom and sides of the vessel.

Another practice involved writing sentences upon slips of paper, which were then baked into balls of dough and divided amongst participants to learn their fates. The practice is still in existence in the form of Chinese fortune cookies.

Abatwa:

Legendary South African 'little people' from the Zulu traditions, said to be small enough to ride ants and take shelter under single blades of grass. Folklore states that these people are nomadic hunters capable of killing and consuming large animals. Alleged to be shy and reclusive creatures, the Abatwa sometimes will give advice or aid to human beings.

Aeromancy:

A divinatory practice utilizing atmospheric, airborne, or sky phenomenon to interpret future events. Examples may include cloud formations, comets and meteors, changes in weather patterns, or wind currents.

The term also describes an obscure practice reported to involve the summoning of ghosts and specters (allegedly with the aid of demons) to project images of future events upon the clouds.

Apparition:

Chandra:

This is the Moon and also the name of the demigod who rules the Moon, Chandradeva. He is one of the primeval demigods in this cycle of creation. This is what Indian or Hindu astrologers call in India, as well as the Moon.

Tibetan Buddhism:

Tibetan Buddhism derives from the confluence of Buddhism and yoga which started to arrive in Tibet from India briefly around the late eighth century and then more steadily from the thirteenth century onwards. Indian Buddhism around that time had incorporated both Hindu yogic and tantric practices along with the classical teachings of the historical Buddha who lived around 500 BC.

It acknowledged that there were two paths to enlightenment (complete transcendence of identification with the personal ego). One path was that taught in the sutras according to the historical teachings. The heart of sutra practice was based on morality, concentration, and wisdom (not identifying with the personal ego. The other path, which has become the cornerstone of Tibetan variations, was tantric. This practice blended the sutra teachings with techniques adapted from Hindu systems of yoga and tantra.

False Awakening:

An experience in which a person believes he or she has woken up, but actually is still dreaming.

Brahman:

A person who belongs to the first class or caste of human beings. A person who studies the vedas diligently and imbibes all the good qualities recommended therein. A person who knows the science of spirit, religion, liberation, astrology, literature, medicine, etc. - a first class human being. This is not something that can be inherited by birth. It must be earned individually and it is subject to reversal at any time by fall down from the brahminical qualities. The word also refers to spirit in general - the all-pervading aspect of Supreme Divinity that pervades every atom in all time and all space. A brahmana is a knower of brahman or spirit, which is also absolute truth.
