No Doubt: Encyclopedia II - The Imperial March - Usage in the Star Wars films

The Imperial March - Original Trilogy. "The Imperial March" is first heard in The Empire Strikes Back in low piccolos as the Empire sends the probe droids across the Galaxy. Its major opening occurs as the Star Destroyers mass and the Executor, Vader's command ship and the first Super Star Destroyer, flies over them. It is used throughout Empire and its sequel, Return of the Jedi. At the end of Jedi, the motif is heard one last time but is very different as it is now a distant sounding ...

No Doubt: Encyclopedia II - Hamer Guitars - History

Hamer guitars began in the early 1970s in the back room of vintage instrument shop in Wilmette, Illinois called Northern Prairie Music. No Doubt: Encyclopedia II - Hot 100 Airplay - Strength Of Airplay

Singles usually enter the Hot 100 Airplay chart before any other, because in most cases, they hit the airwaves first before being made commercially available online or in stores. Prior to December 5, 1998, the Hot 100 was solely compiled of songs that were commercially available. This means that songs could enter the airplay chart, but would not be eligible for the Hot 100 unless a commercial single in stores was issued. "Don't Speak" by No Doubt, "Lovefool" by The Cardigans and "Basket Case" by Green Day all topped the Hot 100 Airplay chart ...

No Doubt: Encyclopedia II - Music history of the United States - American roots music

Main article: American roots music The first musicians anywhere in North America were Native Americans, who consist of hundreds of ethnic groups across the country, each with their own unique styles of folk music. Of these cultures, many, and their musical traditions, are now extinct, though some remain relatively vibrant in a modern form, such as Hawaiian music.
