TreatmentsGemstone Treatments Once a person receives a recommendation for wearing a particular gemstone it can be purchased from a dealer of gemstones or a jeweller. It should be noted that the gems must be of natural origin and must not have been treated with heat or irradiation in a laboratory. Such treatments are widely used in the industry to improve the colour or clarity of stones, thus making them more saleable. Although this may make a usually less attractive stone more pleasing to the eye, it effectively negates the stone's inherent energies, rendering it useless for therapeutic applications. | | | | Nature of Mind: Body-Mind Integration in the Personal Growth ProcessBody-Mind Integration in the Personal Growth Process Does the matter mind? I mean, does the mind matter? That is, what's the matter with the "mind over matter" attitude, and what's the matter if matter (the body) doesn't mind? Okay, I'll put the questions a little less pun-like and paradoxical. How often does it seem that our body is just something for our mind to use to achieve certain ends? And from the way the body minds at times, do we too often lack confidence that it's really going to cooperate with our plans? Or, even though we may try to "listen to our body," does it still surprise us when the massage therapist finds knots, "rubber bands," and sticky layers of achiness in areas we thought minded us the most? | | | | Nature of Mind: Distant HealingIn my work with in-person and distant healing, I've noticed a huge distinction between ordinary chi, ki, or prana, and that which is governed by the soul and kundalini energies. The universe isn't simply composed of a roiling ocean of prana-there are differing frequencies. From the relative prana to that prana which exists nearest the absolute, the energy is more refined on evolved levels of existence. Read more here: » Healing: Distant Healing |

| | | | Nature of Mind: The Thought-Factor in AchievementAll that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts. In a justly ordered universe, where loss of equipoise would mean total destruction, individual responsibility must be absolute. A man's weakness and strength, purity and impurity, are his own, and not another man's. They are brought about by himself, and not by another; and they can only be altered by himself, never by another. His condition is also his own, and not another man's. His suffering and his happiness are evolved from within. As he thinks, so he is; as he continues to think, so he remains.. Read more here: » Power of Thought: The Thought-Factor in Achievement |

| | | | Nature of Mind: Energy - The River Of
LifeAura Clearing and Chakra Clearing In a healthy body, each layer of the aura is brightly colored, vibrant, full of energy, and flowing. When one's energy becomes imbalanced, stagnant, or blocked, the aura can have the appearance of being discolored, ripped, torn, or dented. The chakras in a healthy body should also appear clear, vibrant, and full of energy. They should be round in appearance and rotating in a clockwise direction. When afflicted, the chakras can appear cracked, deformed, or out of alignment with each other. If there is an imbalance in one of the layers of the aura or one of the chakras, it can have a direct effect of the information processed. Read more here: » Aura

Powerful Magnifiers of Energy - CrystalsCrystals are tools that augment the flow of energy. They are like magnifying glasses, enhancing that which lies behind them (our thoughts, feelings, intentions and desires). This applies not only to desirable energy, however, but to all energy, both positive and negative. Through conscious use of crystals as tools, we can enhance anything we undertake. Quartz crystals have electromagnetic properties, hence their use in a lot of electrical devices. The human energy field is also electric (electromagnetic), and crystals can similarly enhance human energies. Read more here: » Crystals:

| | | | | Nature of Mind: Healing thru Emotional
ClearingIn our New Age and self-help literature, another important realization about feelings has been emerging strongly over the last six or eight years. More and more, we hear of the connection between suppressed feelings and chronic poor health. Healing professionals are venturing the idea that in order to resolve health issues, we must resolve the emotional issues behind them. The awareness is growing that the unreleased and trapped negative emotional energy keeps building inside and eventually manifests in the physical. In this article, John Ruskan describes how he originated his system for releasing feelings, how the system works, and what benefits may be realized. | | | | | | | Nature of Mind: Encyclopedia - Analytic philosophyAnalytic philosophy is the dominant philosophical movement in University philosophy departments in English-speaking countries, although one of its founders, Gottlob Frege, was German, and many of its leading proponents, such as Ludwig Wittgenstein, Rudolf Carnap, Kurt Gödel and Karl Popper, were Austrian.
Logic and philosophy of language were central strands of analytic philosophy from the beginning, although this dominance has diminished greatly. Several lines of thought originate from the early, language-and-logic part of th ...

| | | | | | Nature of Mind: Encyclopedia II - Dualism philosophy of mind - Biological naturalismJohn R. Searle, Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley, has pioneered an approach to mind-body issues that is dualistic in some respects, monist in others. He calls it "biological naturalism."
Searle's views sound like dualistic interactionism. He believes that consciousness "is a real part of the real world and it cannot be eliminated in favor of, or reduced to, something else" whether that something-else is a neurological state of the brain or a software program. He contends, for example, that the software ...

Health Dictionary II on
Mind/Body/Spirit Medicine Mind/Body/Spirit Medicine: Mind-body medicine (also referred to as psychoneuroimmunology-PNI) focuses on the interactions among the brain, mind, body, and behavior, and the powerful ways in which emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and behavioral factors can directly affect health. It regards as fundamental an approach that respects and enhances each person’s capacity for self-knowledge and self-care, and it emphasizes techniques that are grounded in this approach. Mind-body medicine typically focuses on intervention strategies that are thought to promote health, such as relaxation, hypnosis, visual imagery, meditation, yoga, biofeedback, tai chi, qi gong, cognitive-behavioral therapies, group support, spirituality, and prayer. The philosophy of mind/body medicine views illness as an opportunity for personal growth and transformation, and health care providers as catalysts and guides in this process. Natural
Health Therapy Dictionary on Mind Body medicine MIND BODY MEDICINE: Mood, attitude, and belief can affect virtually every chronic illness: fear, cynicism, as well as a sense of hopelessness and helplessness, can have a detrimental effect on health; whereas courage, good humor, a sense of control and hopefulness can all be beneficial. Optimistic people are less likely to become ill and, when they do become ill, tend to live longer and suffer less. Studies at Yale and Rutgers Universities by Ellen Idler, Ph.D., Professor of Sociology at Rutgers, and Stanislav Kasl Ph.D., Professor of Epidemiology at Yale, indicate that the opinion of one's health status--how well one thinks one is--may be the best predictor of well-being and future health.
