I've noticed a huge distinction between ordinary chi, ki, or prana, and that
which is governed by the soul and kundalini energies. The universe isn't simply
composed of a roiling ocean of prana-there are differing frequencies. From the
relative prana to that prana which exists nearest the absolute, the energy is
more refined on evolved levels of existence.

| | | | Motivation Dictionary: Action and the Process Of Transformation
Our actions are based on the seeking of results. We are engaged in a process of causation, trying to produce one thing through another. Such action is, in a sense, dishonest. We are doing one thing only to arrive at something else. The result is more important than our regard for what we are actually doing. We seldom do anything for its own sake. Our action is not direct and present. It follows an ulterior motivation and a looking to the future. Our action works through time, which is the past and the future, and the denial of the present that is awareness.

GUARD PAGANISMReflections on OLD GUARD PAGANISM
'Old Guard Paganism'. The phrase
started out as a joke, but then caught on. This tells us something. It tells us
there is a NEED for such a term. It also implies its own antithesis, 'New Guard
Paganism'. And it indicates that there is some difference between the two -- a
'difference that makes a difference' -- and thus requires differentiating
labels. (It should perhaps be noted that the word 'Paganism' is used in the
present context -- however inaccurately -- to refer to modern Neo-Pagan
Witchcraft, or Wicca. With grave misgivings, I have adopted this usage here.)

| | | | | Motivation Dictionary: Moksha - Break Free from Fear of Death
Death perhaps is the only certainty in this world. Yet, the fear of death stalks most people. Literature - western and Indian - regards the fear of death as an intriguing and ubiquitous part of human life. We know we are mortals, yet we are afraid of the inevitable. We know we will die one day; yet we continue to behave as though we believe we are going to live forever. In Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, Caesar is surprised to find that people are frightened of death, which is after all an end that comes when it will. A similar spirit pervades the renowned dialogue between the Yaksha and Yudhishthira in the Mahabharata.

| | | | Motivation Dictionary: How to Improve
Dream Recall The main barrier to recall and to lucid dreaming (realizing
during a dream that one is dreaming) is that waking and dreaming memory aren't
connected nearly as well as they could be with greater intention, practice and
focus. Making a consistent effort to remember and record your dreams will help
your waking mind to ally itself more closely with your dream experience. It's
also an excellent way to increase imagination and intuitive capabilities which
are both intimately connected with dreams. This alone should provide strong
incentive.

| | | | Motivation Dictionary: Who Are The Indigo People? - Part Two
I always knew that I was different- not only in appearance from my peers, but also different inside, in my mind and my thoughts. I would tell my childhood peers things that made perfect sense to me (or to an adult), but would go completely over their heads. I was soon labeled a 'weirdo' and shunned. I didn't know it at the time, but most of the stuff that I 'just knew' had to do with the semi-conscious realization that I'd been here before. I say 'semi-conscious' because the veil this life puts over the connection to Higher Self is a heavy and distorting one, and takes many years and much effort to remove or penetrate.

| | | | | Motivation Dictionary: Secret of Success: Team Spirit
Success can be external or internal. Externally, it is the measure of a job well done and the accompanying recognition from society. Internally, it is a feeling of achievement, satisfaction and fullness which comes on the completion of a task or the fulfilment of a desire. What is a true measure of success, the outer accolades or the inner joy and peace?

| | | | Motivation Dictionary: Why are we moved to do what we do? Ð Part IIOnce the basic
needs of life are met, most people turn to the pursuit of pleasure, fun, and
enjoyment. These include finding comfortable places to relax and rest, tasty
food and drink, entertainment, recreation, sports, arts, socializing, romance,
taking consciousness-altering substances such as caffeine, nicotine, alcohol,
and other drugs.

| | | | Motivation Dictionary: Formless
Hindu Quotes: Formless
Whatever takes form is false. Only the formless endures. When you understand The truth of this teaching, You will not be born again. For God is infinite, Within the body and without, Like a mirror, And the image in a mirror. As the air is everywhere, Flowing around a pot And filling it, So God is everywhere, Filling all things And flowing through them forever. - Ashtavakra Gita 1: 18-20

| | | | | Motivation Dictionary: Inner CertaintyIn the ultimate analysis, the healthiest form of
certainty arises from a sense of being grounded, deeply rooted in the
spiritual, where we have a solid connection with our inner source. With that
connection, we may still be thrown off by accidents, mistakes and mishaps in
life. But like a good compass, when bumped, we always return to true north in
our orientation. The pull of the "north" is strong to us; it is a
shaping force in our lives.

| | | | Motivation Dictionary: And Now for a School that is Completely Different
Think back to your grade school experience. Did you look forward to school? Did you truly enjoy school? Did you feel that what you were learning was meaningful and relevant to your life? Were you able to explore your true interests and fully develop your innate abilities? If you answered "no" to any of the above questions, how would your school experience have had to be different for you to be able to say "yes"? Now, imagine if you had attended a school where the only curriculum you followed was the one you created by discovering and exploring your interests. Imagine if you were not tested unless you asked to be. Imagine if electing your teachers was a normal yearly affair. And imagine if it all happened in a respectful, democratic community.

| | | | | Motivation Dictionary: To evoke a specific dream There is much evidence in existence to support the notion that we all possess the potential to incubate dreams - in other words, conjure up dreams to order. Whether they are romantic encounters, dreams that furnish solutions to problems, or even lucid dreams, with time and effort, they can be evoked.
Ancient civilizations were well aware of the potential of dream incubation. The Egyptians, for example, built temples called Serapeums, named after Serapis, the god of dreams. It wasn't unusual for the expectant dreamer to undergo various procedures including cleansing, purging, offering up prayer and so forth, in order to experience the desired dream. Vedantic ThoughtThe Spiritual Atheism Of Vedantic Thought
Superficially, Gita appears to be theistic in nature. Verse 29 of Chapter 9
is one of several where Krishna tells Arjun about bhaktiyoga or the path of
devotion. But the full shloka makes it clear that this is no ordinary worship. "The
same am I to all beings, to me there is none hateful or dear; but those who
worship me with devotion are in me and I am also in them". Moksha, in other words,
is a state of oneness rather than duality.

Buddhist Quotes: Where Does Wisdom Dwell?
The king said: 'Venerable Nagasena, where does wisdom dwell?' 'Nowhere, O king.' 'Then, Sir, there is no such thing as wisdom.' 'Where does the wind dwell, O king?' 'Not anywhere, Sir.' 'So there is no such thing as wind.' 'Well answered, Nagasena!' - Milindapanha
