DURGA
The Saviour from all Sorrows and Dangers
The
Durga Puja is celebrated in various parts of India in different styles. But the
one basic aim of this celebration is to propitiate Shakti, the Goddess in Her
aspect as Power, to bestow upon man all wealth, auspiciousness, prosperity,
knowledge (both sacred and secular), and all other potent powers. Whatever be
the particular or special request that everyone may put before the Goddess is
being effected consciously or unconsciously. Everyone is blessed with Her
loving mercy and is protected by Her.

Dream Dictionary - Dead, Dead People, Dead Father, Dead Mother, Dead Relative, Dead Relatives
Dead, Dead People, Dead Father, Dead Mother, Dead Relative, Dead Relatives - To dream of the dead, is usually a dream of warning. If you see and talk with your father, some unlucky transaction is about to be made by you. Be careful how you enter into contracts, enemies are around you. Men and women are warned to look to their reputations after this dream.
- To see your mother, warns you to control your inclination to cultivate morbidness and ill will towards your fellow creatures. A brother, or other relatives or friends, denotes that you may be called on for charity or aid within a short time.
- To dream of seeing the dead, living and happy, signifies you are letting wrong influences into your life, which will bring material loss if not corrected by the assumption of your own will force.
- To dream that you are conversing with a dead relative, and that relative endeavors to extract a promise from you, warns you of coming distress, unless you follow the advice given you. Disastrous consequences could often be averted if minds could grasp the inner workings and sight of the higher or spiritual self. The voice of relatives is only that higher self taking form to approach more distinctly the mind that lives near the material plane. There is so little congeniality between common or material natures that persons should depend upon their own subjectivity for true contentment and pleasure.
- [52] Paracelsus says on this subject: ``It may happen that the soul of persons who have died perhaps fifty years ago may appear to us in a dream, and if it speaks to us we should pay special attention to what it says, for such a vision is not an illusion or delusion, and it is possible that a man is as much able to use his reason during the sleep of his body as when the latter is awake; and if in such a case such a soul appears to him and he asks questions, he will then hear that which is true. Through these solicitous souls we may obtain a great deal of knowledge to good or to evil things if we ask them to reveal them to us. Many persons have had such prayers granted to them. Some people that were sick have been informed during their sleep what remedies they should use, and after using the remedies, they became cured, and such things have happened not only to Christians, but also to Jews, Persians, and heathens, to good and to bad persons.''
- The writer does not hold that such knowledge is obtained from external or excarnate spirits, but rather through the personal Spirit Glimpses that is in man.--AUTHOR.

| | | | Mother: An introduction to Ramakrishna ParamahamsaRamakrishna
Paramahamsa was one of the most remarkable Indian saints of recent history
(1836 -1886). He is chiefly known for his high attainments in approaching God
along many different paths. Most saints have one path, one line of attainment
in reaching the goal. Ramakrishna, however, explored each in its turn. He was a
lively and likeable human, and made a deep impression on all that came into his
sphere. He left behind innumerable devotees and helped many to follow the
ultimate goal in his footsteps.

| | | | | Mother: Boriska, indigo boy from Mars, predicts mammoth catastrophes in 2009
The boy says he was a Martian being seven meters in height in his past life The unusual baby boy was born in the town of Volzhsky, the Volgograd region of Russia. His mother, Nadezhda Kipriyanovich, gave birth to her son one fine morning. "It all happened so fast, I did not even feel any pain. When they showed the baby to me, the boy was looking at me with a grown-up look. As a pediatrician I know that newborns cannot concentrate looks on anything. However, my little baby was staring at me with his big brown eyes. Brushing that fact aside, he was a usual little baby, like all other kids," the boys mother said.

| | | | Mother: Reach For Your Soul - Nurture
Your RootsThe life of a plant is
hidden in the roots beneath the ground. If the roots are not taken care of, the
flowers and the leaves will die no matter how much you care for them. By taking
care of the roots, the flowers will get nourished automatically. For, the
flowers come out of the roots, and not the other way round.
The head or the heart
are perceived to be the most important parts of the human body. But the truth
is that our roots are more important. Just as the plants have roots in the
earth from which they draw their life-energy, in the human body, there are
roots which draw life-energy from the soul. The day those roots become feeble,
the body begins to die.

| | | | | | Mother: The Silent Soul Bides its Time
Poet Terhune recollects how when he was a child, his mother, returning after an hour from a neighbour's, asked him, "When I left you were playing on the floor and a sugar candy was there on the table. Now you are there, but not the candy." "I ate at it up, Mother," replied the child. "But you already had your share and I had forbidden you to touch what was left" demanded the mother. "You had, Mother, but believe me, I wept while I was eating it," said the boy.

| | | | | Mother: The Root Or Base ChakraThe Root Or Base Chakra
The root chakra, or the centre at the end of
the spine by the loins, is the centre which radiates a white, divine light,
when seen from the highest spiritual level. This centre is the centre for the
material life, it is the centre that roots the subtle divine consciousness in
the material life. Consequently it is the basis for human existence in this
physical world, and if it is blocked, you will have a human being that feels
rootless in both his spiritual and his physical existence.

| | | | | | | Mother: Are You a Monkey Or a Kitten? - about faith
Our ancient rishis identified among men and women two contrasting attitudes towards life. While some of us worry, ever anxious about security in life, some others repose their faith in Providence, and so rest assured. The rishis named these two attitudes as the markat-kishore-nyaya - law of the baby-monkey, and marjaala-kishore-nyaya - law of the kitten.

Spiritual - Theosophy
Dictionary on
Mut, Mout
Mut, Mout (Egyptian) Mother; the second member of the triad of Thebean deities, generally known as the Lady of Thebes, and holding with Amen-Ra (Ammon-Ra) the principal position among the gods of the New Empire. Although mother of Khensu (or Khonsu -- the third member of the triad) and wife of Amen-Ra, she is often called his mother. Her attributes are those of the world-mother, the inscriptions upon the ruins of her temple at Thebes address her as "Lady of Heaven, Queen of the Gods, she who giveth birth, but was herself not born." Sometimes she is represented with androgynous aspects (with the head of a man and with the phallus). She is associated with Isis and Nekhebet, although more often made equivalent to Nut, goddess of the watery deep, mother of the gods, and of all that is. Mut also in many respects has the characteristics that were attributed to Hathor. From these attributes of cosmic fecundity, Mut came to be associated on a smaller scale with the moon, the mother of earth and giver of material life. See also NEKHEBET
