Jordan's underwhelming performances in baseball, and the professional baseball players' strike of 1994, prompted him to consider rejoining the Bulls. On March 18, 1995, Jordan announced his return to the NBA through a two-word press release: "I'm back." The next day, he donned jersey number 45 (his number with the Barons, as his familiar #23 had been retired) and took the court with the Bulls to face the Indiana Pacers, scoring 19 points. Although Jordan hadn't set foot on an NBA court in one-and-a-half years, he played well upon his ...

Michael Jordan - I'm Back: Return to the NBA: Encyclopedia II - Michael Jordan - Early NBA Career
After a fairly disappointing first NBA game where he only scored 16 points, Jordan quickly took the league by storm in his rookie year, scoring 40 or more points 7 times en route to a 28.2 PPG season. He also averaged 6.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 2.4 steals per game in his rookie year. He revived interest in a floundering Bulls franchise and became one of the most popular players in the sport. His accomplishments lead to a spot on ...

Jordan played 13 seasons for the Bulls, generally as a shooting guard, but his height of 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m), skills, and physical conditioning also made him a versatile threat at point guard and small forward. He was also named Rookie of the Year (1985) and Defensive Player of the Year (1988), and won the Finals MVP award every year the Bulls reached the Finals. Al-Qa'im (Arabic: القائم) (d. 1075) was the Abbasid Caliph in Baghdad from 1031 to 1075. He was the son of the previous Caliph al-Qadir. Neil Jordan defended his film by saying that it could not provide an entirely accurate account of events, given that it was a two-hour film that had to be understandable to a world-wide audience who would not know the minutiæ of Irish history during 1916 - 1922. His critics, however, alleged that the scale of the fiction introduced, the use of real names for 'composite characters' who, like Broy, did not die as suggested, and in particular the misrepresentation of de Valera, the manner of Collins' death, and the introductio ...

The NBA on ABC - Regular Season. ABC's regular season NBA television ratings have routinely finished between a 2.0 and a 2.5 ratings score. While this rating compares favorably to the NHL's Stanley Cup Finals, it is extremely low by NBA standards. The NBA on ABC - 2002-03 - Nessler Tolbert and Walton. For the 2002-2003 season, ABC hired veteran broadcaster Brad Nessler to be the lead NBA play-by-play man. Nessler was to be joined by Bill Walton in a two-man booth. The team did two broadcasts together before network brass decided that Walton needed a partner (much like he had at NBC with Steve Jones) and assigned pregame analyst Tom Tolbert to join the team. Nessler, Walton, and Tolbert broadcast most regular season games, and every network playoff game. Ot ...

In NBA Street Vol. 2, many new features were added to gameplay, including the ability to bounce the ball off of a defending player's head ("Off the Heezay") and to pass it off of the backboard ("Back 2 Papa" if ball goes back to yourself "Back at Ya" if passed to a teammate). The major addition was the Gamebreaker 2, or level 2 Gamebreaker. Michael Jordan - I'm Back: Return to the NBA: Encyclopedia II - The NBA on ABC - Pregame Show

Unlike NBC's NBA studio show, which was known as NBA Showtime for all twelve years of its existence, ABC's studio has been without much consistency. It has gone through four names in four seasons, and several anaylsts in each season. For the 2005-2006 season, the pregame show will be known as NBA Nation. Each season, the show has been sponsored by GMC, with exception of the Finals, where it is sponsored by Chevrolet. While Mike Tirico has hosted the majority of pregame shows, he has been filled in for on occasion by John Saunders. See also:

Later known as "A.I." or "The Answer," Allen Iverson was originally selected with the first pick (1 overall) in the 1996 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers and has led the team in scoring ever since. As a rookie he quickly gained national popularity for a famous left-to-right crossover dribble which caused some defenders, most notably Michael Jordan (one of the premier players of all time) to stumble awkwardly. At just 6'0" and a skinny 165 pounds (1.83 m, 75 kg), Iverson employs his superior quickness, virtuoso ball handling ability, and m ...
