of the Five PranasPrana - Secrets of the Five
Pranas
To change something we must alter
the energy which creates it. This fact is true in the practice of Yoga. To
bring about positive changes in body and mind we must understand the energy
through which they work. This is called Prana in Sanskrit, meaning primary
energy. It is sometimes translated as breath or vital force, though it is more
than these.

| | | | mentally: Enter The Temple Of Inner Beauty
A beautiful woman is one who values herself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Beauty is the total impact of all these aspects. Mind and body are inter-related; the state of one reflects on the other. Yet another dimension is the soul, the inner beauty. It is more a part of us than mere body and mind; it is indestructible. Beauty includes inner beauty. To be a complete person, you have to work on not only your external beauty; you have to develop your inner beauty also.

| | | | mentally: Balance Body & Mind With Sudarshan Kriya Yoga
Our existence can be broadly divided into three categories - thinking, feeling and being conscious. The common link between all three is our attention. When we respond to something, physical or mental, consciously or unconsciously, we take our attention to the related part of the body. When we think, our attention is in the brain and when we carry out habitual activities, it is probably in the spinal cord.

FoodHinduism
and Food
According to Hinduism, food is verily an aspect of Brahman (annam
parabrahma swaroopam). Because it is a gift from God, it should be treated with
great respect. The gross physical body is called annamayakosh or the food body,
because it is nourished by food and grows by absorbing the energies from the
food. Orthodox Hindus offer food to God mentally before eating.

| | | | mentally: Tarot and the Conscious and Subconscious MindThe
symbolic images on the Tarot cards activate and speak to a deep intuitive part
of ourselves which the logical, conscious mind cannot understand or control.
This part of ourselves is known as the subconscious. This subconscious aspect
of being represents our inner self, those deep, highly personal feelings and
qualities which provide the foundation for our entire being and give us the
motivation behind our behavior, thoughts, emotions, etc. This is the realm of
instinct, gut reactions, innate knowing, and personal potential. It is the home
of our psyche.

and Charging the Chakras
The
energy of your body will not be balanced and free flowing if you do not have
good emotional balance, good physical health, and good relationships with your
surroundings and yourself.
Almost
no one is ever perfectly balanced. If you could do this, you would be able to
rise from the dead, have a body transformed into a cosmic molecular structure and
commune with the gods as an equal.

Spiritual Dictionary on Pisces
Pisces: The best quality of Pisces is sympathy. The worst quality is hypersensitivity. A key phrase is “I believe.” The Pisces personality is dreamy and idealistic. You like to float in an ocean of sensitivity, relating to your own feelings and the feelings of others in a direct way. You are the classic romantics, wanting to indulge the senses. You sometimes appear to be vague. Mentally Pisceans are prudent people, balancing the emotional side with the capacity to worry about details. Because your strength lies in the feeling realm, you may feel inferior in the mental realm. It is important to remember that the capacity for sound judgment lies as much in feelings as in logic. Pisces uses psychic senses to make decisions, and may need to learn how to back up these impressions with facts. Pisces mirrors the environment. You can appear very different in different situations, and you can be responsive to the needs of others. More than that, you can inspire other people through your own emotional strength. You may be able to see into the future, but this very ability takes you out of the present, and therefore may keep you from completing projects. Pisces is a peaceful sign. You often are retiring, preferring to be on the edge of things watching than to be in the middle of the action. You tend to worry and may feel slighted by others. You believe what you feel. The great strength of Pisces lies in the ability to respond in two worlds –the world of practical social dealings and the internal world of mystical experience. You may need to develop the strengths of planets in other signs to get you around in the day-to-day world, but you are well-equipped to understand the realm of spirit. Your adaptability usually gets you what you need on the material side, even while you have your minds on Utopian quests. Compassion can be one of your strongest qualities.

| | | | mentally: Controlling Emotional Turmoil
The world today suffers more from emotional and mental turmoil than from anything else. In fact, it is just the partial truth. Almost all suffering and most problems have emotional base. For instance, it is well known that emotionally disturbed people are more prone to accidents than others. David Spangler writes: As man continues to grow in his recognition of what is within himself, he will increasingly realise that the creative source of his world is indeed in his own consciousness... When man knows the reality of the power within his consciousness to create inner changes, then he can make those personal changes, knowing that they will be positively reflected in his environment. The

| | | | mentally: How to have VisionsPsychic ability is something we all possess to
greater or lesser degrees, and it's something that can be consciously
developed. Some people do have a an intuitive "gift," just as others
may have gifts for art, mathematics, athletics, etc... Through focused desire
and concentration, however, we can all enhance the abilities we were born with.

Hinduism
The
most prevalent expression of worship for the Hindu comes as devotion to God and
the Gods. In the Hindu pantheon there are said to be three hundred and
thirty-three million Gods. Hindus believe in one Supreme Being. The plurality
of Gods are perceived as divine creations of that one Being. So, Hinduism has
one supreme God, but it has an extensive hierarchy of Gods. Many people look at
the Gods as mere symbols, representations of forces or mind strata, or as
various Personifications generated as a projection o of man's mind onto an
impersonal pure Beingness.

Many are excited about the upcoming New Age movie, "Indigo," written, produced, and directed by three renowned individuals who now live in Ashland - James Twyman, Neale Donald Walsch, and Stephen Simon. Appealing are the career opportunities, the camaraderie of movie-making, the promoting of spirituality and messages of peace and love. Promoters say it will stimulate the local economy and help our schools. But after examining the Indigo Child movement, and specifically the activities of co-writer/producer James Twyman, I see potential consequences for the community -- and for children. A critical view on the Indigo Phenomenon by Lorie Andersson.
