Church

Dreaming about being in a church is more common than most people realize. Each week I get several requests to add church to the dictionary. This may be so due to the fact that most of us went to church as children. From a very early age we had to go to church and were taught that there was a God. This was important in our life and to our families. Dreaming about churches, cathedrals, synagogues, or any other place of worship may represent our childhood associations with religion. At times, the dream may be a muddled childhood memory. The church could represent a need for greater spirituality in the dreamer's life. It may express religious beliefs, everyday occurrences, issues of safety, security and strength through community and religious expression. None of us can escape the age-old questions, "Who am I?" and, "What is the meaning of life?". Coping with our own physical mortality is a very big deal. Parking Lot, Garage

These are interesting symbols and many people have requested adding them to the dictionary. Traveling is very common theme for our dreams. Traveling in a car is the most common form of this type of dream. Traveling in a vehicle generally can represent our journey through life, or a portion of it. Bread

As a food, bread is a fundamental part of most diets. In poverty bread is the filler, and in jail the prisoner receives bread and water to keep from starvation. In Christianity, Christ is the "bread of life," and in popular jargon bread is used to refer to money. Wind

Interpreting numbers that we see in dreams may be difficult. Their meaning my be very personal, such as a reflection of financial concern or any other area of daily life represented by numbers. Many people live and die by their desk calendar these days. Ours is a time-conscious, time-driven culture. Most of us have more things to do on our schedules than we can comfortably manage. These pressures have created an environment where missing appointments and scheduled events is a constant threat.
