Master P participated in the second season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars, which premiered on January 5, 2006. His son, Romeo, was previously scheduled to appear on the show, but due to an injury he received while playing a game of basketball, he had to withdraw. Master P quickly became a lightning rod for controversy on the show. Refusing to wear ballroom shoes and often times looking uninterested in dancing, he received some of the lowest scores from the judges.
