Allegedly, as a child Moe was a member of the original Little Rascals TV show, playing the role of the tough kid, "Smelly." Unfortunately he lost this job when he killed the original Alfalfa. Loyola Marymount University: Encyclopedia II - Christian worldview - The multiplicity of Biblical worldviews

Christian worldviews are the worldviews held by Christians to be valid views on the world and life for their time. Christian worldviews vary enormously, just as in the different canons of the Bible and different literary sources we can see different "biblical worldviews." True, they all do incorporate the notion of a three-storey universe - the heavens above, the earth beneath, and the underworld - what Northrop Frye indicated as the central clusters of the system of metaphors in the Bible - mountain, garden, and cave. It wasn't until late i ...

Father Juan Crespi described a "beautiful river", which the explorers named in Spanish "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río de Porciúncula", English: "The Village of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels of the Porciuncula River or The City of Ang ...

The county is governed by the five-member Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, who are elected by the county's voters. The small size of the board means each supervisor represents over 2 million people. The board operates in both a legislative, executive, and quasi-judicial capacity. As a legislative authority, it can pass ordinances for the unincorporated areas (ordinances that affect the whole county, like posting of restaurant ratings, most must be ratified by the individual city).
