Love Feasts, Agapae (Ancient Greek). These banquets of charity held by the earliest Christians were founded at Rome by Clemens, in the reign of Domitian. Professor A. Kestner’s The Agape or the Secret World Society (Wiltbund) of the Primitive Christians" (published 1819 at Jena) speaks of these Love Feasts as "having a hierarchical constitution, and a groundwork of Masonic symbolism and Mysteries" ; and shows a direct connection between the old Agape and the Table Lodges or Banquets of the Freemasons. Having, however, exiled from their suppers the "holy kiss" and women, the banquets of the latter are rather "drinking" than "love" feasts. The early Agape were certainly the same as the Phallica, which "were once as pure as the Love Feasts of early Christians" as Mr. Bonwick very justly remarks, "though like them rapidly degenerating into licentiousness". love-powered diet: Revolutionary system concocted by Victoria Moran and based on the Twelve Steps. In The Love-Powered Diet: When Willpower Is Not Enough (1992), Moran uses the expressions God, Goddess, Higher Power, Higher Self, Love, Nature, and Spirit interchangeably.

The first principles of her system add up to: People with eating-related problems (e.g., bingeing) cannot resolve them on their own; with their permission, however, a Higher Power will work some wonders in their lives. Moran advises writing, praying, and talking casually to God and provides anthroposophical, Christian, Hindu, Native American, and Sikh prayers.

Marga (Sanskrit) Path; in Buddhism the noble eightfold path that leads to nirvana.

There are four commonly recognized margas, forms of yoga or spiritual and intellectual training:

1)    karma yoga (path of action);

2)    bhakti yoga (path of faith or love);

3)    raja yoga (path of kingly yoga); and

4)    jnana yoga (wisdom path).

These four pathways correspond with the four Hindu castes: Sudra (the agricultural); Vaisya (commercial); Kshattriya (administrative, military, ruler); and Brahmana (philosopher, sage).
