| ARTICLES RELATED TO Love | | | | Love: Encyclopedia II - Philip J. Fry - Love LifeEven though Fry is far from the paragon of male figure, form, or virtue in any century, he does manage to accrue some romantic experiences.
Philip J. Fry - Michelle.
Fry's girlfriend from the 20th century. Michelle dumped Fry on New Year's Eve 1999.
After Fry was frozen, Michelle realized he was the man she really loved, so she froze herself in depression. When Fry was fired from Planet Express, and in a mixup involving career chips, Fry ended up with Leela's old job at the cryogenics lab, where he ...

| | | | Love: The End Of Marriage As We Know ItSomething
seems to be seriously wrong with marriage.
During
the past 50 years, the rate of divorce in the United States has exploded out of
control to its current level of about 50 percent, and it shows no signs of
letting up. That is a very sobering trend and statistic. I recently contributed
to that number, and it doesn't feel so good, especially when there are innocent
children involved. Some people have contributed more than once. Most of them
probably feel worse than I do, and wonder where it all went wrong.

| | | | | | | Love: Encyclopedia II - Sufism - Basic beliefsThe central concept in Sufism is love. Dervishes—the name given to initiates of sufi orders—believe that love is a projection of the essence of God to the universe. They believe that God desires to recognize beauty, and as if one looks at a mirror to see oneself, God looks at himself within the dynamics of nature. This is substantiated using the famous Hadith Qudsi (extra-Qur'anic utterance of God): "I was a hidden treasure, and I wanted to be known, so I created Creation." Since they believe that everything is a reflection of God, ...

| | | | Love: The Link Of Love Two years ago,
something extraordinary happened to me that completely changed my perception of
life. I was falling asleep just like any other night, but when I was in that
altered state of consciousness between awake and asleep, there appeared before
my closed eyes the close-up image of a little boy's face. He seemed to be about
three years old, and he looked very much as I did when I was a toddler. At
first he was looking down, as if he was shy. Then he slowly lifted his eyes,
looked directly at me, and smiled. In his sweet toddler voice he said,
"Mommy, I'm coming."

| | | | Love: Listen to Me! - Bo, a Baby Dolphin
Hello Children I'm a dolphin. I'm only four months old. I live in the waters surrounding a beautiful island called Bimini in the Bahamas. I have a couple of helpful hints for you that just may just give you enough courage to start living your lives like you would if you weren't so afraid. Look, I know it's hard to be a child. I'm only four months old. A four month old dolphin is kind of like a six year old human child. I'm very smart and I'm also very stubborn. I have to swim by my mother's side and sometimes that rule that makes me really mad

| | | | | | | | Love: Surrender to God With True Prayer
.Prayer can perform miracle. There is no better meditation technique than sincere prayer. "We may love God as a parent, as our child, as our beloved or even our friend". Says Amma, "Contemplate Him as your creator, protector and the final abode to where you will return. Open your heart and pray to Him. He cannot sit silent and unmoved when somebody calls Him like that...Without love for God, no amount of meditation will bear fruit. Rowing a boat against the current is difficult but if there is a sail, it becomes easy. Love for God is like a sail that helps the boat move forward".

| | | | Love: The Breath of God Is Our Breath of LifeKriya Yoga: The Breath of God Is Our Breath of Life
Kriya Yoga gives extreme importance to the breath. It teaches that
breath control is self control, breath mastery is self mastery, it is
deathlessness. If you take a very short breath and seek God in the fontanel and
the pituitary, you will attain calmness and God realization. The Bhagavad Gita,
verse 5:27, mentions this short breath: "We are to fix our attention in
the pituitary, take a very short breath and touch Him in the pituitary and in
the fontanel." The breath must be so short that if you place your finger
in front of your nose, the outgoing breath will not touch the finger.

| | | | Love: Encyclopedia II - Wedding ring - Traditional customs
Wedding ring - Pre-wedding customs.
According to some customs, the wedding ring forms the last in a series of gifts, which also may include the engagement ring, traditionally given as a betrothal present, and the promise ring, often given when serious courting begins.
Other more recent traditions, and the jewelry trade, seek to expand the idea of a series of ring-gifts with an eternity ring, which symbolizes the renewal or ongoing nature of a lasting marriage, sometimes given after the birth of a first chi ...

| | | | | Love: Encyclopedia II - Friendship - A tradition in declineIn recent times, some thinkers have postulated that modern friendships have lost the force and importance that they had in antiquity. C. S. Lewis for example, in his The Four Loves, writes,
To the Ancients, Friendship seemed the happiest and most fully human of all loves; the crown of life and the school of virtue. The modern world, in comparison, ignores it. We admit of course that besides a wife and family a man needs a few 'friends'. But the very tone of the admission, and the sort of acquaintanceships which those who ...

| | | | Love: Encyclopedia II - VH1 - OverviewVH-1's popularity and clearance (number of cable systems carrying the channel) was minimal until the fledgling network was acquired by Viacom (along with MTV, Nickelodeon, and Showtime) and placed into the MTV Networks stable. In 1994, in a bid to make itself more noticeable, VH-1 started to market itself as the "new VH1: Music First," and dropping the hyphen from its official name, and introduced its new "Big 1" logo. It altered its format slightly from adult contemporary (AC) to adult top 40, now including musicians such as Ace of Base, Me ...

| | | | Love: Encyclopedia II - Patience operetta - Plot
Patience operetta - Act 1.
In front of Castle Bunthorne, a group of "lovesick maidens" mope about, dramatically sighing as they inform the audience that they're one and all in love with the aesthetic poet Bunthorne ("Twenty lovesick maidens we"). Lady Jane, the oldest and plainest of the ladies, informs them that Bunthorne, far from returning their affections, has his heart set on the simple, unpretentious milkmaid Patience. Patience herself appears, and, when asked about Bunthorne, confesses that she has never l ...

| | | | Love: Encyclopedia II - Opus Dei - Doctrine demands and consequences
Opus Dei - Novelty of doctrine and controversies.
Opus Dei's teachings have received both support and criticisms. John Paul II said Opus Dei "anticipated the theology of the lay state, which is a characteristic mark of the Church of the Council and after the Council." He described its aim as "a great ideal" and its message as both timely and timeless. Benedict XVI, three years before becoming Pope, said Escrivá's example and teaching is "an extremely important message… that leads to overcoming the great temptation of our time: the ...
