Kundalini
A Wisdom Archive on Kundalini
Kundalini
Kundalini is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning either coiled up or coiling like a snake. It is a term in yoga, referring to a reservoir of psychic energy at the base of the spine. Kundalini is curled up in the back part of the root chakra in three and one-half turns.
"Kundalini is the energy of the Divine as it is experienced in the individual. Kundalini binds us when we project its energy into the world and yet, kundalini liberates us when we return this energy to its divine origin.
This video is a good attempt to get a feeling of the Kundalini rising:"
Many
individuals whose Kundalini has been unexpectedly unleashed DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS
HAPPENING, and the prevailing social ignorance about this multidimensional
transformative process makes it hard to find medical or alternative health
practitioners or spiritual advisors who recognize the symptoms, particularly
when they are strongly physical. Many people know that the risen Kundalini
flings open gates to all sorts of mystical, paranormal and magical vistas, but
few realize it can also dramatically impact the body.
Can one overcome the limitations of the mind, and reach an insight
that is not based on previous learning or that which one imagines, but which
emerges from a fundamental and direct experience of consciousness and energy?
One of the most secret
and advanced methods for such a transforming insight is called Kriya Yoga.
Chakra
- Chakras: The
chakras and channels of energy
Inside every human being there is a network of nerves and sensory
organs that interprets the outside physical world. At the same time, within us
resides a subtle system of channels (nadis) and centers of energy
(chakras) which look after our physical, intellectual, emotional and
spiritual being.
Each of the seven chakras has several spiritual qualities. These
qualities are intact within us, and even though they might not always be
manifest, they can never be destroyed. When the Kundalini is awakened, these
qualities start manifesting spontaneously and express themselves in our life.
Sri Gorakhnath was a great Yogi like Sri
Jnanadev of Alandi. In Chandragiri village on the banks of the Godavari, there
was a Brahmin named Suraj. His wife's name was Sarasvati.
Yogic puberty of the tongue. Advanced stage of urdhva-reta in which the tongue spontaneously moves back toward the palatial cavity of the head, as the body seeks its own source.

Prana is the sum total of all energy that is manifested in the universe. It is the vital force, Sukshma. Breath is the external manifestation of Prana. By exercising control over this gross breath, you can control the subtle Prana inside. Control of Prana means control of mind. Mind cannot operate without the help of Prana. It is the Sukshma Prana that is intimately connected with the mind. Prana is the sum total of all latent forces which are hidden in men and which lie everywhere around us. Heat, light, electricity, magnetism are all the manifestations of Prana. Prana is related to mind; through mind to the will; through will to the individual soul, and through this to the Supreme Being.

The different yoga schools simply adhere to different applications of inner discipline, all of which ultimately lead to the liberation of the soul and to a unique understanding of the Divine Unity.

The yoga schools are: Ashtanga Yoga, Purna Yoga, Integral Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Raja Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Mantra Yoga, and Tantra Yoga.
Tantric Celibacy: Going
All the Way With Tantric Celibacy
Tantric
yoga, as a system of rituals, exercises, and philosophical teachings, was
developed over the past 2,500 years in a practical search for profound feeling
and awareness. Just as a modern scientist might spend years on a single
research problem, tantric yogis might dwell on a certain feeling for hours a
day, plumbing its every nuance and what it told them about existence. They
became experts in the arts of feeling and concentration.

Stated with extreme
simplicity, orgasm is an intensely beatific state of consciousness and
canceling of ego, with profound harmonizing, relaxing and regenerative effects.
Male and female ejaculation is only a complex physiologic process of
explosively energetic discharge with a dim manifestation of a brief, incipient
orgasm, experienced in a selfish unilateral way. During ejaculation, the energy
is quickly wasted and for no purpose (except when conception is wanted).

There are six chakras. Muladhara is in the anus. Svadhishthana is near the
genital organ. Manipuraka is in the navel. Anahata is in the heart. The
Vishuddhi Chakra is at the root of the neck. The sixth Chakra, the Ajna is in
the head (between the two eyebrows).
This
article presents a couple of ways crystals can be used to augment energy
healing, also known as therapeutic touch or healing touch. In all energy
healing work, the healing can be instantaneous if the healer is connected to
truth and the recipient is receptive. It's important to remember that the
healer is simply a channel for pure positive energy. The patient is the one who
is responsible for accepting the healing. As a healer, it's wise to remember
that when we spiritually ask for aid in helping another in any way, we
immediately summon great help from Spirit.
Reiki (ray-key) is a Japanese word for
Universal Life Force and a system of natural healing that channels Reiki
through the hands. The traditional Asian medical paradigm views injury,
dysfunction and disease as manifesting when subtle energies are weak, distorted
or out-of-balance. Reiki accesses the source
of Life to heal the self and others on spiritual, mental, emotional and
physical levels.
This chakra, which is also called the third
eye, is located right between the eyebrows on the forehead. It is the centre
for clairvoyance, visions, and transcendence of time and space in thinking. It
radiates a clear, green light, and people who have begun to develop the ability
so see more than most people, have a shining ball located in the area of this chakra.
This ball protects, and draws energy into the brain.
Meaning of dream with Snake from different traditions
• In Indian tradition, moving snakes symbolize the stirring of kundalini.
• In Freudian terms, snake is a phallic symbol.
• Jung, however, interpreted snakes as symbolic of the conflict between conscious attitudes and instincts.
Hatha Yoga is the branch of Yoga that
focuses on the physical well-being of a person and sees the body as the driver
of the spirit. Each of these styles of yoga use Asanas or poses to balance the
body, mind and spirit. However, some emphasise the alignment of the body while
others concentrate on co-ordinating the movement and breath. Ten of the most
common styles of Hatha Yoga are described:Ashtanga Yoga, Iyengar Yoga,
Viniyoga, Bikram Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Ananda Yoga, Anusara Yoga, Jivamukti
Yoga, Sivananda Yoga and Svaroopa Yoga.
