Kirlian Photography | A Wisdom Archive on Kirlian Photography | | Kirlian Photography Kirlian photography is a process that utilizes pulsed high voltage frequencies and electron cascades to take pictures of radiating energy fields that surrounds objects. At first believed to be found only in living material, these energy fields have been discovered to radiate from nearly everything around us, though living material seems to have larger, more defined fields. William A. Tiller, Ph.D., of Stanford University, states that every organism or substance radiates and absorbs energy via a unique wave field, which then exhibits certain geometrical frequency and radiation characteristics. Whether animate or inanimate, there is a measurable, extended force field that exists around all forms of matter. | |

| | | | Kirlian Photography: Encyclopedia II - Subtle body - The subtle body in AnthroposophyThis same theme (of dense to subtle Body and Plane/Universe) is also found in Rudolph Steiner's Anthroposophical teachings, although it is simplified considerably in that only the Physical, Etheric, and Astral Bodies are referred to (beyond the Astral is the Ego which in Steiner's system is the immortal soul or spiritual aspect of man.
According to both Blavatsky, Adyar Theosophy, Steiner, and some forms of Spiritualism, after physical death one lives in the subtle bodies until these too drop away and the Soul or Spirit returns to its true home to rest b ...

| | | | Kirlian Photography: Encyclopedia II - Subtle body - The subtle body in RosicrucianismThe Seven-fold constituition of Man
Max Heindel's Rosicrucian writings teach that man is a complex being who possesses:
A Dense Body, which is the visible instrument he uses here in this world to fetch and carry (the body we ordinarily think of as the whole man);
A Vital Body, which is made of Ether and pervades the visible body as ether permeates allother forms, except that human beings specialize a greater amount of the universal ether than other forms (that ethereal body is our instrument for spe ...

| | | | Kirlian Photography: Encyclopedia II - Subtle body - The subtle body in TheosophyWhilst the Eastern esoteric traditions emphasise a single subtle body (apart from the Vedantic concept of five koshas), in the West (beginning with Neoplatonism) the emphasis has often been on a series of subtle bodies or vehicles (okhema) of consciousness. This reached its most detailed and systematic account in the writings of C.W. Leadbeater and Annie Besant, who established the Adyar School of Theosophy. They described in detail the seven bodies, and established many of the themes that would be canonical in "new age" thought. The ...

| | | | Kirlian Photography: Encyclopedia II - Van de Graaff generator - DescriptionA simple Van de Graaff generator consists of a belt of silk running over two pulleys, one of which is surrounded by a hollow metal sphere. Two electrodes, E1 and E2, in the form of sharply pointed cones, are positioned respectively near to the bottom of the pulley and inside the sphere. E2 is connected to the sphere, and E1 is giving a high potential with respect to earth; a positive potential in this example.
This high voltage ionises the air at the tip of E1, repelling positive charges onto the belt and they are carried up inside th ...

| | | | Kirlian Photography: Encyclopedia II - Van de Graaff generator - HistoryThe Van de Graaff generator was developed, starting in 1929, by MIT physicist Robert J. Van de Graaff. The first model was demonstrated in October 1929. The first machine used a silk ribbon bought at a five and dime store as the charge transport belt. In 1931 a version capable of producing 1,000,000 volts was described in a patent disclosure. This version had two 60 cm diameter charge accumulation spheres mounted on Pyrex glass columns 180 cm high; the apparatus cost only $90.
Van de Graaff applied for a patent in December 1931, which was assigned to MIT in exchange for a ...

Healing Dictionary on Vibrational medicine Vibrational medicine: The expressions "energy healing," "energy work," and "energetic healing work" appear synonymous with "vibrational medicine." Healing philosophy whose main tenet is that humans are "dynamic energy systems" ("body/mind/spirit" complexes) and reflect evolutionary patterns of soul growth. Its postulates include the following. (a ) Health and illness originate in subtle energy systems. (b) These systems coordinate the life-force and the physical body. (c) Emotions, spirituality, and nutritional and environmental factors affect the subtle energy systems. Vibrational medicine embraces acupuncture, aromatherapy, Bach flower therapy, chakra rebalancing, channeling, color therapy, crystal healing, absent healing, electroacupuncture, flower essence therapy, homeopathy, Kirlian photography, laserpuncture, the laying on of hands, meridian therapy, mesmerism, moxibustion, Past-life Regression, Polarity Therapy, psychic healing, psychic surgery, Reiki, sonopuncture, Toning, Transcendental Meditation, and Therapeutic Touch.
