Joy Division often experimented with different sounds, and Sumner was said to have been the main brain behind instrumental ideas and usage. He, for instance, instigated the use of synthesizers in Joy Division's music.
Synthesizers were used quite predominantly in Joy Division's music towards the end of their time together, with songs such as "Isolation", "Decades" and "The Eternal" from the Closer album featuring quite heavy electronic undertones. Interestingly, a rare Joy Division track entitled "As You Said" (sometimes called ...

 | | | Joy: Art of Wise Living Brings Great Joy The art of wise living involves four steps: Plan purposefully, prepare prayerfully, proceed positively and pursue persistently. The joy of wise living involves the art of joyous looking. There are two types of looking. You can look at the world with thoughts; you can also look at the world without thoughts, from a pure Being. When you look at the world with thoughts, then you should be aware of the subtle pollution that exists. Thoughts come from memory, memory is the representation of an experience of the past, and so from the past you see the present. Hence, pollution happens. | | | Joy: Finding The Joy In
Your Universe When you let go and experience the world as a child experiences the sandbox, then you are open to the Truth that what is real never ends. The reality is that you are eternally the master of creation -- and destruction. You create, you enjoy your creation for a while and then you dissolve it, so that you can do it all over again. Forever. Read more here: » Spiritual Growth: Finding The Joy In

 | | | Joy: Attain Peace and Joy We are all subject to conflict and pain because people believe in different things - what is real for some is unreal for others. Naturally, conflict cannot be avoided. People might be able to avoid conflict for some time, but some day they will fight. When each believes that only his way is right, people are bound to fight. Though all religions started as an instrument to find the inward path, over time, they have undergone many changes and become different sets of beliefs. Though all religions speak of the value of human life, for the sake of the same religions, today people are willing to take each other'slives. This is because people believe in something which is not yet a reality for them. (See also: Peace on Earth, Peace of Mind, Love and Happiness, Life and Beyond, Body Mind and Soul)

 | | | Joy: The Joy of Creating Deliberately! Infinite growth. Eternal change. Never-ending creation. It all begins with thought. Literally, every thought you think influences and adds to what you are experiencing. Yet most people's lives change very little. How do you account for that? I had a client say to me, "I don't understand, Eva. You're telling me I'm responsible for everything in my life, yet there's no way I would have gotten caught up in this crisis on purpose!" I agree! Certainly not on purpose. Definitely by default. It is the lack of understanding of Universal Laws that has us creating our lives by default. Once you understand these Laws, you can begin to create what you want in your life consciously and deliberately. Stress-free Action Brings Peace and JoyAction is imperative for success and progress because otherwise, inactivity takes over and leads to devolution. Activity, however, can generate a lot of stress in the individual. Progress, therefore, is risky. When progress is gained at the expense of peace of mind, it comes to lose its significance, because it does not translate into giving happiness. And to achieve happiness is the goal of all activity. So thereÕs a dilemma: How does one be dynamic and still achieve peace of mind? Read more here: » Peace

 | | | Joy: Mooladhara ChakraFirst Chakra: Mooladhara Chakra The first chakra is situated below the sacrum bone in which resides the Kundalini, and its main aspect is the innocence. Innocence is the quality by which we experience pure, childlike joy, without the limitations of prejudice or conditionings. Innocence gives us dignity, balance, and a tremendous sense of direction and purpose in life. It is nothing but simplicity, purity and joy. It is the inner wisdom that is ever present in the little children, and gets sometimes clouded by our modern lifestyles. But it is a quality which exists eternally within us and cannot be destroyed, waiting to be manifest as pure joy when the Kundalini rises. Read more here: » First Chakra: Mooladhara Chakra |
