While the CNE only lasts for a few weeks at the end of the summer, many major permanent buildings and other structures have been built over the years to house specific venues, or to commemorate specific events. Five of these buildings — the Fire Hall & Police Station, Government Building, Horticultural Building, Music and Press Buildings — were designed by architect G.W.
