 | | | Intuition: Encyclopedia II - Exponential growth - Intuition
The phrase exponential growth is often used in nontechnical contexts to mean merely surprisingly fast growth. In a strictly mathematical sense, though, exponential growth has a precise meaning and does not necessarily mean that growth will happen quickly. In fact, a population can grow exponentially but at a very slow absolute rate (as when money in a bank account earns a very low interest rate, for instance), and can grow surprisingly fast without growing exponentially. And some functions, such as the logistic function, ...

 | | | Intuition: Encyclopedia II - Divergence theorem - IntuitionThe intuitive content is simple. If a fluid is flowing in some area, and we wish to know how much fluid flows out of a certain region within that area, then we need to add up the sources inside the region and subtract the sinks. The water flow is represented by a vector field, and the vector field's divergence at a given point describes the strength of the source or sink there. So, integrating the field's divergence over the interior of the region should equal the integral of the vector field over the region's boundary ...

 | | | Intuition: Encyclopedia II - Fundamental theorem of calculus - IntuitionIntuitively, the theorem simply states that the sum of infinitesimal changes in a quantity over time (or some other quantity) add up to the net change in the quantity.
To comprehend this statement, we will start with an example. Suppose a particle travels in a straight line with its position given by x(t) where t is time. The derivative of this function is equal to the infinitesimal change in x per infinitesimal change in time (of course, the derivative itself is dependent on time). Let us define this change in distance per time as the speed v ...

 | | | Intuition: Encyclopedia II - Uniform space - IntuitionIn metric spaces, continuity and uniformity are usually defined in terms of δ’s and ε’s specifying numeric values of closeness. Intuitions from metric spaces transfer to topological spaces by thinking of a∈O, where O is a neighborhood of x, as a substitute for |x−a|<δ. The δ-ε definition of continuity translates directly into the topological definition.
Similarly, metric intuitions transfer to uniformity by thinking of a∈U[x] as a substitute for |x ...

 | | | Intuition: What is Intuition and How Do I Use it?
Intuition is an incredible resource and gift that we have been given to help us live our best life. Unfortunately, not many people know what it is or how to use it. Florence Scovel, a theologian, once said, Intuition is the spiritual faculty that doesn't explain; it seemingly points the way. It's also been said that intuition is your divine Spirit talking to you. You don't have to get any special training to start using it. All you need to do is raise your awareness about it and set your intention to harness it.

 | | | Intuition: Psychic
Perception, Spiritual Insight, and Inspiration Above the rational mind and below the soul realm is an
intermediary plane of consciousness that I call the intuitional. It is very
difficult to characterize this realm, because it transcends mental concepts but
is still not a realm of being like the soul. The intuitional plane is the
"highest" or most subtle and universal part of the created worlds. Although
God and souls are the truly creative agents of the universe, we could say that
the process of creating begins with the intuition and then moves to concepts,
feeling responses, images and shapes, and finally physical manifestation. Thus
intuition is a key to initiating creativity.

New Age
Spiritual Dictionary on Intuition
intuition Knowing by instinctive sensing without use of rational processes; immediate cognition; that which is so sensed. An experience that conveys an idea or impression simply by an "awareness." (ESP intuitions include no sensory experiencing such as visualizing or hearing). Too often the receiver fails to recognize the psychic origin and disregards the intuitive manifestation
