Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child

The Wisdom Archive for Indigo Children

Indigo Children - Indigo Child - Crystal Children

In the spiritual community, there are many who anticipate the Emergence of a Golden Age to come. An important part of this awakening that is occuring is the coming of Children with an awakened Consciousness. These childrens have been called the Indigo children.

Are the Indigo children, (variously called the Indigo children, Crystal Children, the Children of Oz) the ones who will launch humanity into a new era of consciousness, laying the groundwork for the emergence of a Golden Age?

"The Indigo Child is a boy or girl who displays a new and unusual set of psychological attributes, revealing a pattern of behavior generally undocumented before. This pattern has singularly unique factors that call for parents and teachers to change their treatment and upbringing of these kids to assist them in achieving balance and harmony in their lives, and to help them avoid frustration."

Lee Carroll & Jan Tober

In an epic poem, Savitri, the late master Sri Aurobindo of India vividly describes a coming new race of humanity emerging on Earth. Was he reffering to the Indigo Childrens?

"I saw them cross the twilight of an age, The sun-eyed children of a marvelous dawn, Great creators with wide brows of calm, The massive barrier-breakers of the world, Laborers in the quarries of the gods The architects of immortality."

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: A Different Kind of Memory

I was preparing supper for twenty-five people in the College of Metaphysics kitchen. Ki had been playing with "Gary", a newly-engaged 30-year-old who planned to half-jokingly have a dozen kids.

The time to serve the dishes had come. I turned from the stove to see Hezekiah coming toward me surrounded in a black cloud, eyes swimming in tears, a scowl on his face. Immediately, I held out my arms and lifting him in my arms I said, "What's happened?"

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: A FAMILY of YOUNG SOULS, dreams during adolescence - Dreams as a Talisman

Children want to have a sense of control in their lives as they are growing up to be more independent beings and also because much of their life is influenced by other people's decisions. Sometimes children feel like they are not in control of their lives. When this idea becomes an issue for them it will appear in a dream. Beverly felt out of control of her life which manifested in a recurring dream: Baby aspirin was stacked up around her in her bed and then slowly fell over on top of her. A bed symbolizes a place in mind for assimilation or how we learn from our day-to-day experiences.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: A FAMILY of YOUNG SOULS - Elevating Our Sense of the Common Good

Recently I learned that one of the boys who murdered fellow classmates in April at a Littleton, Colorado high school had taken Ritalin, a drug that stimulates the central nervous system of prepubescent children the way amphetamines do in an adult. As society has embraced this drug, word of its power has spread. I hear or read about it every week, and it is provoking profound changes in the way I think and the way I act. Not long ago someone gave me a copy of a report stating that the United States military will not consider for training in the armed services any one who has a history of taking Ritalin. That kind of says it all, even without knowing the specifics.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: A FAMILY of YOUNG SOULS- The Universals of How People Learn

What must happen first before any learning can take place between a teacher and student, a parent or a child, is for both to give. What is given is something so simple it is often taken for granted. It is attention. The teacher must give attention to the student to be aware of what the student needs.

The teacher connects his or her perception of what the student needs, to information, experience or wisdom that he or she possesses that can fulfil the student's needs. For example, one who would be a teacher would notice a ten-year-old child mixing mud and food together and recognize this play as a desire to learn to cook. Brownies or a cake might be in order. Children want to learn even though they might not always know what it is.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: Poetry For and About Indigos - For Casey

for casey

should passion be able to melt and liquify

it would be the ink that wrote the words that you spoke at night

it would be the paint that formed the worlds that you found within your mind

should passion be able to convert into electricity

it would be the power surge that crept up the cord and through the chords that split through time and space

giving birth to a new plain in which you found refuge

and your sound tracked us down like bloodhounds led by the chill and breeze

dragged to us against their will

pulled towards the stench of loneliness until they came sniffing at our feet

drooling and licking their chops-and when the rain started to fall we shivered

not from the cold but from the comfort

that feeling you get when you lie in bed and just can't stay still because you want to be sure that this feeling coats your entire being

and so you toss and turn and sigh because you won't

you can't

go comatose until you are sure that every inch has been exposed

and we cried because we were full and had nothing left to do

valleys sunk and spirits rose

and all the squirrels died when the tide came in and buried the floor in an endless river

and were replaced by dolphins who swam amidst the leaves and trees where birds and butterflies flew

and will fly again someday

i hope

and the sound fell like rock pops and broken teeth as they chomped away at our steel souls

and we heard it as a low hum that kept us fully conscious and aware during those last few moments between waking life and dreams

and we were trapped to never change-we were protected by the metal casing

the result of over exposure

over indulgence

over doses of gaseous melancholies that seeped through your eyes

the melancholies that condensed and then cooled into a solid armor

the melancholies that forced us to drown in own own tears despite our frantic efforts to keep our heads above

they blurred our vision and we closed our eyes only to see the dawn of day

light so bright it doesn't burn your eyes

and all was clear

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: A New Focus on Society

There will come a time, we are told by Spirit, that a civilization will exist whose primary focus is not the control of its citizens. In that day, we will see a new and exciting profile emerge within our collective consciousness. It will not be the only way that people will choose to live, but it will clearly be an option - a choice many can make if they so desire.

In our society today, there is a huge divergence between being a child and being treated like a child. Our social systems have created generalized markers for the separation of "the men from the boys" that are neither personal nor are they always accurate to the people involved.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: Caring for Children in the new millenium

For adults, the heavier vibrations of matter under which you passed your

growing up years are giving way to a higher, lighter, more refined level of

vibration. This, of course, has impacted significantly the nature of the

children which began incarnating more recently and I wish to make commentary

about them. These children who shall come of age in the next century bring a

special gift to the world -- a level of love and remembrance and knowing not

heretofore possible.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: Poetry For and About Indigos - Freezer Burn

Freezer Burn

She had the clearest blue eyes

Liquid and always wet

I found a sea-bed in her eyes

And enough tears to fill it

She was one with the salt-sea

Her skin smoothed by sand and storm

And she swam within her eyes

And they kept her wet and warm

And the sun never touched her

Pale child of the tide

The water held her warm hand

And she dripped and dropped and dived

The waters held her warm hands

And she splished and splashed and cried

Please let me drown while I can still feel it

She said I want to swim with the cold fish

Please let me drown while I can still feel it

She said I want to fry like the cold fish

I longed to feel what she felt

Yet I could not dive into her eyes

I was tanned and burned and rough

The sun kept me cold and dry

But I needed to know what she knew

So I plunged into her apple-sea

And she pushed me out and said

That she would come to me

Please let me drown while I can still feel it

She said I am going to swim with the cold fish

Please let me drown while I can still feel it

She said I am going to fry like the cold fish

Her eyes had frozen to a crisp

I saw her think then retake her place

She surfaced and drifted ashore

The sun came out and burned her pale face

Her eyes said that she had not felt it

She had frozen long before she fell

And I held her in my cold arms

And I wished that she would melt

And without her rain to wet us

We stood and began to dry

She grabbed ahold of my cold hand

And she tanned and burned and fried

I tightly held her cold hands

And she blistered and cracked and smiled

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: A letter from Jimmy Twyman

Dear Friends,

This is one of the most important emails I have ever written to you.

Over the last six years I have traveled to war torn countries and meditated with reclusive Emissaries of Light. But nothing can quite compare to my recent experiences with the psychic children I met in Bulgaria, or the sudden revelation I received from one of them not more than ten minutes ago.

Spend a moment reading this email, and the amazing message from the Psychic Children. And feel free to pass this out to everyone on your own list.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: Poetry For and About Indigos - Girl Indigo

Girl Indigo

Shattered glass sparkles

through a broken window

refracting reflections

into backlit hallways

deep, deep inside, flashing

strophic light, then dark.

A figure, a shape moves

into and out of shadow

a child, a woman reverberates

in silhouette.

Broken nail, broken heart

her hair, dyed jet black, fades

in heartbeats and tears.

She is here, she is now

screaming forever.

Dimensionless and expanding

beyond the edge of visible light

she hovers in her own luminescence

untouchable, yet yearning an embrace

Beyond a grasp, colors fail

pastels wither and crimsons bleed

into neutral shades of gray

as she absorbs the sun

into her deepest indigo.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: Poetry For and About Indigos - Peek behind the Veil

Peek Behind The Veil

Where is that place; without time or space?

Is the veil so strong as to completely erase?

My recollection comes from out of the blue;

then a force says, "dismiss it" so that's what I do.

The force that's mundane drives me insane;

insanity spreads, like a disease with no name.

What would happen if the world lifted the veil?

The force would be gone, the disease would pale.

To get rid of the force; don't discard the peek;

For each time you seek, so shall you reap.

Wisdom is contagious, it spreads like insanity;

seeking breeds wisdom, wisdom breeds philanthropy.

To lift your own veil, all you have to do;

is know that wisdom and truth, lies inside of you.

Carry this belief in your heart; wear it on your sleeve;

then the veil will be gone, and the world will believe.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: The Issue of Control

Many adults today tend to think of children as possessions. The court system certainly doesn't help that situation, either. We reason that, since we have the "moral responsibility" to feed and house these young people, and the legal power to make decisions for them, our children must be beholden to every rule and ordinance we choose to concoct.

As one parent put it: "My house, my rules." However, if the child lives there, is it not his house as well? Just because someone is unable to financially contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of the place, isn't he still a contributing force to that household? Isn't her job, her specialty, simply being the resident child?

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: The Little Red Schoolhouse Turns Indigo

One of the most brilliant people I've come across thus far is John Taylor Gatto. He's the New York Teacher of the Year whose in-the-know insights set the establishment on its ear every time they are presented.

For example, when Daniel and I gave his sisters, who are public educators, copies of Gatto's book Dumbing Us Down the only comment one of them would offer was "sounds like a burned out teacher." Appropriate feedback in this age of cynicism.

I am a teacher of adults. I understand the call to teach and what happens when you respond. I have met many teachers, and I hear loud and clear that it's a battle trying to teach anything in the public school system. I also hear how one man did something to help his kids, often defying the system to do it. When you are fulfilling your purpose, for Gatto it is to teach, you don't get burned out. You learn.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: An Option, Not a Mandate

Jesus said: "Unless ye become as little children, ye shall not enter the Kingdom of Heaven." I am inclined to agree with him on that. But even that is beside my point here. The "Imagine Nation" is a society built on Oneness, and an appreciation for our infinite collective diversity. It doesn't place kids at the center of things. Rather, it is designed to even the playing field so that natural giftedness can move forward at whatever age it appears. Some of the principles discussed will have great meaning in regards to our senior citizens, as well.

Even within the template we are designing here, there will be those who will feel most comfortable and secure when they are following leaders or mentors in their daily schedule. They may choose even to live at home with parents well into age 40, and be completely happy with it. The key factor we are emphasizing here is the word "choose". Do Star Children get to choose whether they are dependent or not? Or is that choice made for them already?

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: Poetry For and About Indigos - Escape

I would love more than anything to spread my arms and fly,

Away from the rage and sorrow that clutches like a wraith at my heart,

To simply jump out the window and take flight, my hopes and dreams

carrying me away and up into the twinkling stars above.

Cold they may be, but at least they are my silent lovers, watching

over me while I watch over the small, sentimental things that I

believe and hold dear.

I want to glide away, soar far from the things that bind me to my

eternal doom,

Breathe in the calm that I prefer to fill my spirit, and banish all

thoughts and feelings of helplessness and despair,

And as I gaze out the glass portal of my cage, I know that one night,

I will spring forth, for though my wings are clipped, they cannot

chain my wild soul.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: Drawing on your Dreams for Conscious Parenting

I was the observer of the action in this dream. The action took place in a city with a foreign feel. Maybe Italy. The streets were stone or bricks. Very narrow and winding. Alongside were tenement type houses two to three stories high. It could have been "Little" something in any major US city.

There was a plot to assassinate the President. A parade was winding through the narrow streets, filling them from building to building like when they run the bulls in Madrid. A shot rang out. The President was hit. I knew instantly he was paralyzed, not so much the body as the throat. He couldn't talk. There were Secret Service men there, one died, the others whisked the President away.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: Creating a Spiritual Focus for Your Family interviews with the Padillas

Teresa and Ernie Padilla are the parents of a beautiful girl who is now into her teens. In 1997, they attended what is called a Spiritual Focus Weekend on the campus of the College of Metaphysics in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri. Here they gathered with several other parents and a mentor for the express purpose of coming to deeper awarenesses of themselves as parents. The weekend, combining instruction, discussion, practices, and an Intuitive Report on each child, fueled their aspirations and restructured the way they saw themselves as people and their daughter as a soul.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: Indigo or Violet? - The New Children

Yes in the past, six times over we have reached this point in evolution. Each time the forces that you consider counter-evolutionary have intervened to turn humanity's attention back to the beginning, to blue. Now you do understand there is no problem with blue, it is the truth and the will of God, and in actuality the refinement that has taken place because of this return over and over is ultimately serving the evolution of the universe. Yet it is time, as so many of you know in your hearts, it is time to move to the next level. So many of you have come here for this time, to be present to hold the focus for this transition.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: Indigo Children - Crystalline Children

It is that on this occasion we wish to speak to you of the children. It is that for many years of your earth time, your children have been arriving with the gifts as it was in the Beginning. These children inherently carry that which is the crystalline energies. Not only are these energetics crystalline in nature, they are also carrying the harmonics of the pyramids, those which are tetrahedronal in form. These pyramids carrying an entirety of the spectrum of light. The Sacred Spiral. This meaning a fullness of the spectrum of light and frequencies. A complete set of energies. Perfection in existence.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: Gratitude Prerequisite for Reasoning

I was looking forward to working in the studio with Paul Madar. We planned to lay the foundation for a CD of Atlantean music. Produced by dulcimer strings, the vibrations would align consciousness, opening the listener's mind to ancient healing methods.

We were ready to go and I was preparing Paul's frame of mind. I thought of the metaform, a revolving geometric form, that might facilitate focusing Paul's attention. I quickly went to the upper room to retrieve it.

Indigo Children - About the Indigo Child: How are your Heart and Brain connected to God?

What is the brain’s unique role in connecting a human being to what many call God? New scientific information about the human heart identifies it as the very first connection point between the physical body and its Creator source. Amazing recent evidence indicates that the heart begins to beat in the unborn fetus even before the brain is formed so it appears that the heart truly holds primary status as the initiator of human life.
